I usually don't enjoy the Grammys, but it's such a stark contrast to the oscars last week. Oscars were so dull and joyless, the Grammys are full of music and smiles with minimal bullshit. feels like a celebration.
Trevor is doing fine, he talks just enough to give them time to setup for another performance.
BTS was great. Billie was great.
I liked Stapleton's impromptu acceptance speech. Wasn't polished but felt genuine.

I think he's perfectly likable and fine, but I don't understand why he is famous. Does anyone ever watch the daily show. And he's been doing it for like 20 years or something.
Also, I know I bring this up a lot but it’s still weird that Kelis accused Nas of abusing her four years ago and he faced essentially no pushback for that at all?

True, but it feels especially egregious considering there’s already been a lot of backlash about Louis CK earlier tonight!

I think it’s a generational thing. More people my age care about CK than Nas imo and he was more receiving of the backlash because of it.
I mostly agree, but that also should have made it easier to jettison him.
oh CK? Yeah that was kind of a shocking pick. Even ignoring the controversy, the special was fine but I thought it was a league below Inside. Just super strange all around.
