Might as well get this ball rolling... tried and failed to join the Hill for the first time 2021. We signed up for 2022. Tell me your secret ways. Is there a handshake or password I need to learn?
Seriously though. I'm well versed in Roo and GA life. What might I have needed in GA that's not necessary in VIP world?

Free ice cream at 1p and 5p. Special entrance to main stage. Waking up to sound checks.

EDIT to verify this is for VIP at roo. LOL
Yes Very Important Bonnaroovian. That would make it VIB but close enough.

I had VIP in 2019. HOW DID I MISS THE FREE ICE CREAM???
I found there was often still a long line for the shitters in the VIP campground, so I made the easy trek to the Centeroo VIP lounge for my morning constitutional. Fortuna smiled upon me Saturday morning as I emerged from the clean, air-conditioned water closet to the sweet sounds of Kacey Musgraves’s soundcheck, which I was able to enjoy with 10-12 of my closest friends. (Pro tip: The VIP bathrooms are better than port-o-lets, but BYOTP nonetheless.)

Did anyone pick their day of arrival for VIP? I saw that we're allowed to come in on Wednesday now, but wasn't sure if its the same thing where we have to state our intentions first or what?

This will be my 7th Bonnaroo, 6th doing VIP. This year I'm renting one of the glamping tents (I'm an old man diva).
Looking forward to being able to arrive Wednesday for the first time. The one year I did GA, Wednesday night was a blast. And having Where in the Woods right next to the Vip campground will be very convenient.

This is my 10th Bonnaroo but it’s my first time doing VIP. I’m very excited!!!! Is there anything specific I should know about the VIP experience? I don’t wanna miss out on any cool perks.

Have they definitively said when VIP would be open? I know we can do Wednesday now but I want to make sure I time it well so we get a decent spot

I saw somewhere that you have to specify which day you are arriving when you purchase your vehicle pass.

Perks that are pretty nice but don't require any additional effort:
No waiting at all to get through security and parked. I think the longest I've waited was maybe one or two cars ahead of me
Close proximity to Centeroo. Even if you're in the back corner of VIP, you're still only about a five minute walk from the VIP entrances.
The Which Stage viewing area is wonderful. Seeing how crowded GA gets (maybe not this year with lower attendance), it's always so refreshing to know I can just relax in our viewing area.
The What Stage viewing area is nice if you just want to relax and watch a show from a distance, but it's tucked back in the corner a bit. If you want a really good spot for a headliner, you're better off going for the pit.
The Centeroo lounge is a great place to go get some AC, get a drink, or take a dump. There's usually no line for the bar either, so if lines are bad outside and you're in the proximity it's nice to have that as an option.
Perks that take a little more effort:
The second VIP entrance doesn't open until the What Stage opens each day, and it shares security with GA. If you're going to run back to grab a beer (as I often do) from the campsite between What Stage sets, you're better off coming back through the main VIP entrance. They're much more lax on security checks.
As others have said, the free ice cream is nice. It's usually twice a day in the VIP lounges, but they go quick.
Phone batteries have come a long way, but there's some charging stations in the lounges that can be helpful if you need a little boost.
I've never left the grounds once I've come in, but if you want to leave to grab Starbucks or whatever you're able to.
If the Thursday night buffet is back (I don't think it was going to be offered in 2021), get there early if you can. The line gets long. And you only get one trip through the buffet, so load up.

1st iteration of VIP Guide is now posted. There’s some confusing statements about opening times for Wednesday but it says VIP tollbooths open at noon on Wed and 8am the following days.
Have any of you fancy people received a shipping notification yet?
Yup! Got a shipping notification last Tuesday. When I track the package is says that the label has been created. And that the shipment date will be provided as soon as possible.
the wristbands finally came in the mail so I feel confident posting now. picked up 3 VIP for a little less than the price of 2 on secondary markets. gonna be doing VIP for the first time this year with my wife and our friend who's never been.

Just landed in Nashville. Picking up our rental car. Getting breakfast. Then hitting Walmart for supplies. If anybody goes to the gate early and they’re letting people lineup, please report back. Thanks!!! Happy Roo everyone!!!!!!
Anybody remember the volunteer posted at the VIP lounge entrance by the campsite area? He sounded and acted like Bill & Ted. I couldn’t tell if he was doing a shtick or if that was how he actually spoke. If it was an act he never broke character. At first I found him super annoying. But by the end of the weekend he won me over. Anyway, I hope he’s getting gnarly somewhere and I hope he’s back this year. Hang 10, bruh!!!!
