I was Freddy Krueger for Halloween in fifth grade. I had a burn mask that was glued to my face with liquid latex and a knife glove and a fedora and a big sweater. It was pretty hot because it's Texas and I was wearing the sweater and the latex melted in my sweat and got into my eyes and it was extremely painful. I had to walk back to my friend's house crying while people were like "oh, Freddy, so cool!" and I couldn't even pretend like I was having a good time, just bawling out of pain and also sadness that my costume was totally fucked. Humiliating experience.
