It's been mentioned several times, but I think 2 years of people being able to live an otherwise fulfilling life without attending Bonnaroo makes it easier to skip going forward. Can't really put that genie back in the bottle.

Gotta imagine they bring in the fence at What Stage pretty far. I hope they rearrange the campgrounds a bit too. Groop being that far out with empty campgrounds would suck.

I think I disagree with the last part. Not that you can’t live a great life without roo, but I think ppl will be reminded of how much they love going and that factor will be built back up

Definitely some of that for some people but I think that's where it gets easy to become lineup dependent for other people. Once you miss once always easier to skip going forward.
You can love Roo but not love it enough to want to see J. Cole rapping about farting
I can tell you from our experience talking with people, a lot of people direly miss the experience and really truly want it badly as a type of self-help therapy. The issue is that with all of the absence and problems of the last few years, that pool of people has gotten a good deal smaller.
LiveNation has incredibly deep pockets, it’s not going anywhere.
Even if it does, the community and the idea doesn’t go anywhere. Okee could easily be the next Roo if they continue to grow and improve.
Okee was undersold. I think they did like 30K and expected 40
It felt oversold to me. They need to keep it at 30k max imo. The crowd at Be stage during the Glitch Mob was quite literally ALL THE WAY to the back by the entrance for a good 20-30 minutes while everyone was moving through and coming into the main area. It was really ridiculous.
Edit: Also forgot to mention they didn’t seem to have enough camping space for the 30k that were there, they had people camping 10 feet away from the porta potties so how the hell did they think they could accommodate 40k???
You’ve been tasked with fixing the Bonnaroo 2022 lineup! Replace 5 acts on the lineup with reasonable bookings:
J. Cole - The Chicks - Illenium Plant & Krauss - Disclosure - Lord Huron - The War On Drugs
Tool - Flume - 21 Savage Billy Strings - $uicideboy$ - Porter Robinson - Marc Rebillet - CHVRCHES - LANY
Stevie Nicks - Machine Gun Kelly - Roddy Ricch Nathaniel Rateliff - Rex - Herbie Hancock - Puscifer - Wallows
I’m going to replace The Chicks with Trey Band, Illenium out for Skrillex, Kendrick for J. Cole, Snoop Dogg for Machine Gun Kelly and literally anything for LANY. I only sell 4,000 more tickets. But for someone who isn’t vested in the long term corporate success of Bonnaroo, 25k tickets sold is the best news I read today. Sorry.
I'd be really interested to see who actually bought the 25k and who's sitting it out. It feels like chasing that younger demographic might be a fools errand.
You could probably move another 10k of tix out of the WSP tailgate crowd or String Cheese fans looking to do some late night nitrous
At this point I'm starting to feel like my "bring a friend for free" joke might ultimately be a win for them. Twice as many people exposed to the festival, more merch and vendor sales. Doesn't add significantly to their expenses.
