On the Dayglow front…is it a full-band thing, live?
it is indeed! his guitar player Colin is awesome and busts out a few solos that enhance quite a few songs (mainly False Direction). also hope for y'all that he gets a night time spot or something in the dark because his light show is just as cool as his performances are

I love how high they billed Stromae. Very impressive.
I personally love the headliners they were able to get. The second line on each day is so disappointing to me (not Stromae, RTJ) but there are definitely some gems lower on that lineup.
I always feel to old for Coachella but this years lineup speaks to me. I might keep my eye on some future editions and maybe attend one day.
my coping mechanism is reminding myself how trash a coachella schedule is compared to a typical Bonnaroo schedule
It’s just a ton of overlapping 45 minute sets
Haha, I do love that Bonnaroo goes so late too. Different beasts, still that lineup would make for an excellent weekend! I’d love to do Coachella at least once if I could swing it.

Damn there's a lot on that Coachella lineup I wish Roo snagged.
Phoebe, Maggie Rogers, Dave, Jessie Reyez, Carly Rae Jepsen, Spiritualized and Vince Staples all would've been nice additions.
Agreed. I was starting to come to terms with the current lineup and then my husband sent me Coachella's. I won't attend because it's just not the place for me (I also feel too old for it) but damn, they've got quite a few acts I wouldn't be mad at seeing
maybe i'm just high off copium here, but, besides the headliners, i'm not sure this Coachella lineup wows me anymore than the Roo one does
obviously 3 great headliners and some solid bookings, but it isn't just far and away superior imo
I mean, I would say it’s the undercard - NOT the headliners - that makes the Coachella lineup as strong as it is (though obviously getting relatively unique HL acts doesn’t hurt either).
But also comparing Roo’s lineup to Coachella’s has really never been a fair thing to do lol.

Come down to the Shoppes at the Creek and we'll see what we can do, when you see the shop where there's 50 guys who look just like you fighting over shirts with complicated patterns, that's where you go in.
I wore my Dan Flashes shirt to Outside Lands this year (took place over Halloween weekend). A few people recognized it, which was great. The incredibly stoned bartender I made a point to always get my drinks from thought I was a nineties Microsoft windows screensaver.

I'm about to be a dick to r Bonnaroo, but there are multiple comments over there about how bonnaroo's undercard is better than Coachella's. I think roos undercard is fine but come on.
Most people are saying Coachella's is better, but still surprised at some of the folks trying to make the claim.

idk dude, I feel like if you don’t like this lineup, what do you even like?
A lot of it is newer acts sure, but there is a ton of fantastic rock, r&b, rap, electronic, and pop spread from the top to the bottom of that lineup.
see i like the Roo lineup, so i didnt mean this as a shot at Coachella. i would certainly love to go if i were closer or if it were more cost efficient, but im just not blown away

yeah the comparison thing is definitely fair. like i said in my other reply, i guess i was just saying im not blown away, and i wasnt blown away by Roo's by any means either. i think both are solid lineups with Coachella obviously getting the edge, and i would not have a problem going to either one lol
Jamie xx, The Avalanche, Caribou, Hotchip, Floating points, and Peggy is what I really think Roo is missing. And has been for sometime. The edm at roo this year is better but you can see almost every single one of them at every edm fest.
