Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
someone's already uploaded 30 min of the war of drugs set onto youtube. i watched it while i was getting ready for work (boo) and i definitely missed out on that one
EDIT: it looks like a channel called Ganji-Videos has been uploading streams. they have coin, chvrches, porter robinson, 21 savage, robert plant and alison krauss, sons of kemet, j cole, bleachers, and a lot more on top of those
Bless this person. I napped too hard this weekend in between catching up from Covid messing up my week to see most of the streams.
I can’t believe I survived my first roo! I had a massive adrenaline rush during Stevie because I couldn’t believe I’d survived without any incidents or completely falling apart haha. I want to thank everyone I camped with and all the new faces I met during the week that helped me through it all.
My top three sets: 3) Arlo Parks. She had a really refreshing and energetic stage presence for someone who makes such soft music. I would die to be her best friend. Also, Tranter got the setlist!
2) Rezz. I’ve been dying to see her since I was 17 or so. I love every single thing she’s put out and I never knew I could dance for that long. Huge shoutout for Tony for being there with me and being just as excited, it really made the set even more enjoyable!
1) Puscifier! This one was such a big surprise for me, didn’t know any songs but got into the pit with tranter anyways. The music was good as shit but the performance was also hilarious and fun to watch. I would give anything to see them again.
Despite all the struggles and being a little angerey in the heat every night was filled with so much fun. Meeting all of you guys was kind of like a little surprise treat every time we ran into someone. I hope I’ll get to go back to the farm soon!
pumped to see them on tour in two weeks! they're really great and fun and yea everything about it is good to me

I have never done a recap post before but I figured this one was so strange that it deserves one.
Wednesday we got in no problem which was a nice contrast from 2019. We got the absolute best spot in plaza 3. It was close to the arch but not so close that it was super loud at night. We were not only close to our showers but also plaza 2’s which were emptier. Not a bad walk from the Jesus Tent either. WITW looked amazing and it was fun showing cum around everywhere. Really good energy that day.
Thursday was my worst day as I was super hungover. I felt fine by the time the shows I cared about came on. I really enjoyed Adam Melchor, Indigo, and Turnpike. Weval cancelling that night kinda put a damper on things.
Friday was a fun one for us too. We had to cut out off brunch super early so apologies if we didn’t see you. The storm worried us a lot and we wanted to be extra safe and seek shelter. We moved around a lot. Really loved Arlo per usual and got the set list. Went to J Cole for a bit and he sounded great. Too bad I don’t like his music. Goose sounded amazing and might have been set of the weekend if I stayed but when they slowed down a bit, my energy did too. I was going on sheer Goose power that night.
Saturday we got in for Femi who was a bit of a surprise. Dude was a total pro and sounded great. I felt bad at the start but the crowd started to fill in. Was a scorcher. Slowthai was one of the best tent shows I’ve ever seen at Roo. The dude came out to an empty tent and went as hard as he would’ve if it was packed. Jumped immediately into the crowd and everything. He’s such a likable character with a ton of energy and he sounded amazing. I have mixed thoughts on the Superjam. Starting that late is inexcusable. Sometimes less is more with the set up. No reason for all those drums. Four guitars was silly too. Claud doing Jump was kinda embarrassing to watch. It’s a power pop song and you’re opening the set with it. Why would you get the softest spoken singer on the lineup for that? It picked up tho and the guests were good but I also kinda hate Jack. CHVRCHES were pros as usual.
This next part was perhaps the dumbest thing all weekend on Roo’s part. I went to Billy Strings and tried to get in the pit line for TooL. They closed off the left side pit line for some reason this year. On the right side, the line started on the far right and went left into the crowd. Meaning, if you wanted to get to the end of the tool pit line, you had to be deep in the front row for Billy Strings. I’m not joking, this made absolutely zero sense. Why on earth did the line go that way? Secondly, if the exit on the pit was on the left side, why not bring people into the barricaded line on the right to prevent cutting? Mind boggling.
Anyway, Tool ripped. I’ve never been to a louder show and Maynard is so fun to watch. I got rail for a song too. I think it’s really funny that I’ve heard for years about how good Tool’s visuals are and then it’s like a 3D animation from 2002 of like a sad old guy with dicks for fingers or something.
Went to gecs and that was fun enough but after a while, they start to annoy me. That song about a tooth being removed is still ass. Thought about doing Marc or something but just went to bed. Was very cold that night.
Sunday was probably the best Sunday I’ve ever had at Roo. It was fun to say goodbye to everyone and the energy was amazing. Me and cum went to WITW and just chilled in the hammocks. Got in for Puscifer and got pit. Maynard was a completely different character and the stage show, sound and everything blew me away. I only knew The Remedy going in but wow what a shock. Probably the best set I’ve ever seen relative to how little music I knew. Herbie was fun. Glad I got to see a lot of you and say goodbye. Went to Rezz and got close. Went to Stevie for a massive party. We started the first ever Stevie Nicks mosh pit and it was such a perfect Roo ending. That whole set was perfect and was like a “roll credits” end. Cum and I said goodbye to everyone and then drove off. Some guy tried killing us a few times on the way back. Considered calling the cops because he was actively trying to hit us. No clue what I did to set this guy off but he was absolutely targeting us.
———-
Using this next part to talk about Roo’s mistakes. I had prob my second favorite Roo but there were so many issues.
Closing the second entrance was worse than I imagined. Not only that but going on socials and blaming the crowd for it is inexcusable. We stuck through two years of cancellations and a bad lineup just to be shat on like that. Brain dead behavior. I have no clue why they made a point to tell artists not to encourage mosh pits if they’re just gonna do their best to create a crowd crush.
Second, the pit line going into the crowd is comically stupid. Impressively stupid in fact. Closing the left side pit line was awful too.
I will say I didn’t see any cops tho.
——-
Finally, this is the first time I can say that my future for Roo is questionable. This very well may have been my last Bonnaroo. I feel like I’ve gotten everything I wanted out of it and I have commitments next year. I’ll say that I am at the very least “lineup dependent”. If it is, then it’s been an incredible 5 festivals and I’ve loved meeting everyone there. Glad I got to see everyone this weekend!

had fun hanging with you in the puzzling tool line and yeah that was really weird lol. i don't think i've ever seen a pit line where cutting was so inevitable. how could you blame anyone that cut because they went into the crowd to try to get into the back of the line and it was impossible and would've pissed off people that wanted to watch billy strings? it seemed like everyone that wanted in got in so there's that
100% agree about gecs too. they did a lot of dicking around between songs then laura was joking at the end that they need to play 2 songs but only have time for one. it's like yeah maybe you should stop fucking around so much or cut a song from the setlist. it was a fine show but i've seen them at a venue and that was way better

also i didn't know artists were told not to start mosh pits. that explains why some shows didn't have as crazy as crowds as i thought they would. i wanted to go all in at some but the crowd was tame enough that i didn't want to bother people that waited to be close to the stage

I pity the fool that would've told durkle to stop moshing at Stevie Nicks

i’m flipping through these threads and i’m shocked at how much more positive the posts on here are over reddit. like people have said some problems and inconveniences going on but for me i survived and had a good time
I think there were logistical steps back that didn't seem to make much sense for people who have been going for years. And not just the last few years but things that were added/improved upon over the years that just would have helped. There was a lack of some basic info or coordination by staff at certain areas (brooer tent had a few issues that never used to be that way.
Balloons high in the sky to locate pods/0lazas is a simple but helpful thing that I don't know why it was taken away.
Also felt like there were less porta-johns then than I remember but they may have been cut more and more over time. I know they have the permanent rooms in one area and some flushable stalls in a couple spots. Though I didn't really have too bad of a wait besides mornings portas by camp. Just wish there was a bit less of a walk.
Second entrance shouldn't have been closed and now I'm concerned they'll decide that it worked well enough this year and keep this setup permanently
But definitely had a lot of positive things. Big screens at the stages, the other tent screen/tower set up, fans in the tents.
And most importantly, the music was just great in most cases. Say what you want about the lineup but I got a lot of great sets out of it. And the crowd seemed mostly chill as usual.
As someone who’s been every year since 13 I can 1000% assure you that the porta potties haven’t been slowly scaled back over the years. It was only this year and that was absolutely mind blowing. NO TOILETS within 500 yards of That Tent. Unreal. Since the permanent bathrooms are often slammed, I found myself walking to the other stage or even once all the way across the farm in between which and who stage near the food trucks.
This was my 3rd favorite roo overall though. Amazing fucking time I’ll post a big recap later but needed to hit on the lack of bathrooms because complaining is fun.
or just listen to a certain someone about the amount to take for first time
For real tho - you were such a trooper in handling it, and I’m glad you and Jeff and I got some sunrise chats in Sunday morning even our brains were all only about half functioning lol.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Nobody told Andy Frasco apparently 😂
lmao if you had told me Thursday morning I would've been in a wall of death during Andy Frasco I would've said "lol there's no way I'm going to Andy Frasco" shout-out Jake Jortles' brother for dragging me there
I’m about 2 hours from home and will post full recap later tonight or tomorrow. Overall maybe my favorite Roo between the non stop dance parties with my friends, near-perfect LN runs both Friday and Saturday, and some other highlight killer sets I’ll talk about in my recap.
Definitely was sad to leave around 6 last night and miss Herbie & Stevie but doing two sunrises in a row had me feeling like I would be a legit hazard to myself (and others on the road) to try and do my eight hour drive alone in one leg Instead of splitting it between last night and today. But other than that, I have v few regrets of the shows I made it to and how I spent my time.
Oh but it is possible my feet and legs are permanently compromised. Not sure they’ve ever been this sore before lol

we need Jortles to get his brother on the board
what a fucking duo
which one? They’re both such great humans; Ben and I were probably the two biggest Lane 8 fans of our friend group at that set so getting to go full hype and sing a bunch of the lyrics together was amazing. And then doing the same with Luke at CHVRCHES was also so fun.
I sorta wish my sister would be down to Roo but she’d hate it haha

I'll write up a recap later but just wanted to say this was my favorite bonnaroo yet. Almost every set I saw was excellent and the people and vibes were exquisite. Didn't feel crazy empty like I feared it might with the attendance numbers. Can't wait for next year

let’s get both of them around
Luke was wearing the bucket hat most of the time, right?
“i’m glad you grabbed me right there because if i would’ve lost everyone i would’ve just walked back to camp. i’m way too fucking drunk to find anyone right now.” - Teddy Flair around 1am Friday morning approximately 15 seconds after i dragged him along to go closer to Gryffin with the group

I was shocked they didn't have Portos right near the brooer tent. Closest was on the opposite side of the This tent and that's not a crazy walk but if people going to be drinking some toss a few bathrooms outside there
Here's the full Tobe Nwigwe set, if anyone's interested. Took me by complete suprise and was my favorite set I watched on stream. Definitely validated his high billing.
This was not on my radar at all this weekend, but wow he sounds great. New fan here
