I remember walking over to the end of that Superjam and they brought out (most of?) the members of Run DMC and the hype man was going ape shit like “COME ON YA’LL, ITS RUN DMC, THIS IS HISTORIC” and the crowd was just like 😐
it was just DMC
I don’t know what this means, I just know the guy that would sit in his bathtub and kick knowledge in that VH1 show
Putting together a mock schedule but torn on where to put the Superjam. Do we think it's more likely Bleachers plays an evening show Friday with the Superjam being late night like it normally is, or Jack Antonoff sticking around an extra day for a Saturday Superjam?

I was lazy and put it where they put it for 2021. Not late night and Saturday night. I’d assume he’d play a separate night , but pretty sure Griz played and did his super jam that late night in 2019.

I have it in that same Saturday spot for now, but I'm leaning towards Friday being more likely. Friday has 1 fewer act as well, but also has Gizz and Goose who might get long sets.
Anyone know what to expect for the Robert Plant / Allison Krauss setlist? I know they have 2 albums together so it's probably enough material to do only those songs, but was wondering if they do any solo stuff (or LZ.) I'm guessing it's way too much to ask for a little Going to California or Stairway to Heaven renditions.

He normally mixes a couple of Zep tunes into his shows, normally with a folkier arrangement. Going to California’s definitely possible, he did it at his last Roo set, but I don’t think he’ll ever do Stairway. Looks like the last time he and Krauss played Roo together they did Black Dog, Black Country Woman, and The Battle of Evermore
Slowthai lowkey overlooked. Really, really good show at iii points and I picture it being even better in a filthy Roo crowd.
could also turn out like that Skepta show in 2017 where there were like 200 people there and less than half of them gave a fuck
Highly unlikely. There haven’t been any rap shows on the other since then. I don’t know if the tent crowd will be huge, but it will be big enough and it will be mosh city, rowdy af.
I was bored earlier today and wanted to hate something. Listened to the What Pod lineup episode and holy shit it did not disappoint.
the only reason i listened was because someone in the ACL Discord server said that they had confirmed CHVRCHES for ACL and it was a painful 55 minutes just for them to mention it in passing.
Finished my mock schedule. It actually made me feel slightly better about the lineup. Rebillet/Porter conflict would be a bummer for me, but feels inevitable. I probably would have had Gizz late night, but having a Miami show the next night makes me unsure. This way at least avoids a Gizz/Goose conflict.
Thursday, Kenny Mason > Nothing > The Weather Station > Weval > VNSSA > check out various happenings > Sons of Kemet
This would be a very ideal Thursday for me. I will say for some reason I don’t think Weval is gonna be on the other, but take that with a grain of salt.
Friday, LP Giobbi > Tove lo > Robert Plant and Allison Krauss > J. Worra > King Gizz > J. Cole > 1984 > Goose > Disclosure > end of Zeltron
All in all another pretty ideal day for ya boi.
Saturday, Slowthai > Suicideboys > Chvrches > 4P > Tool > (this conflict hurts) Luda or Lake > Rebillet > maybe a few mins of Porter
This day is a lil weak for me if Lake and Luda conflict.
Sunday, Tierra Whack > Dombresky > Herbie Hancock > MGK? > Stevie > maybe head out early
