Nice. I'll see them at least twice during Jazz Fest, so that will mean 3x this year. They are the funkiest act on the lineup, and I gotta get some funk in from time to time. For those who don't know them, they started out in Boston in the early 1990's. Their members are involved in a ton of other projects including Adam Deitch (drummer) with Break Science, Benny Bloom (who lives here now) with all kinds of side projects, Shmeeans, Zoidis, Nigel Hall, etc. They are on lots of lineups and easy to forget about. But they still fucking rule. The last several albums were all pretty good and hard to rank. Crush from 2017 is probably my favorite. Mt. Crushmore from 2016, Elevate ('19) and Resonate ('20) are all decent.

Sounds Like a Party
Awesome!!! I’ve seen them a few times. Last time was at a Phish after party in Atlantic City. It was by far the dirtiest funk I’ve ever seen. Might see them at Capital Theater in April. Kinda wish they were playing Sat night at Bonnaroo instead of Sun. But whatever, gonna be sick either way.
Hype for Lettuce , honestly how schedule plays out Sunday could be a super strong day. Even with wasting the 2 and 3 slots, still can see Stevie , Herbie , Tash , Lettuce and Nathaniel Ratliff. That’s a perfect Sunday when my body is dead and my brain is fried. I get that there’s not much chatter and isn’t as stacked at 2020 but I really dig this lineup. Saturday’s my worst day but sexy and too heavy with Tool, Flume and Billy. Wish the edm on Friday and Saturday swapped because Friday is stacked.
Here’s hoping to them dropping The Other lineup today at 4:47

I usually like to leave early on Sunday, but we'll probably stick it out this year. A Hundred Drums, Bas, Lettuce, G. Jones, Tierra, Puscifer, Herbie, All Them Witches, Tash and Stevie is a good day for me if I get to see most of those acts.

Def want to check out Puscifer schedule permitting and totally forgot about Tierra. Sunday’s gonna be awesome I think, but I’ve never seen Stevie and pretty jazzed to see her
Yeah, me neither. 25-30 pages back, I posted a link to her last tour which was a couple years ago with an analysis of the band (led by Waddy Wactel) as well as the setlist and which albums (FM, solo, covers) the songs came from. She's old and all, but it should be a pretty good sing along. I tried to go to Fleetwood Mac's encore at Jazz Fest one year, but you couldn't get anywhere near the main stage by that point. This is probably one of the final tours, so getting a chance to see her does have some value in that regard. I'm neither a giant Fleetwood Mac fan or a giant Stevie Nicks fan. But I have a pretty decent level of appreciation.
I’m not a huge fan either besides knowing the songs everyone knows. It’s just always fun to see a legacy act I don’t want to pay 150-250 bucks to see in concert. If Anyone Falls slaps though

I tried to see FM at JazzFest the year that it flooded super bad in front of the Acura stage. You couldn't even get close and all these people were dancing in the "mud" at an active fairgrounds that has races. Like y'all know that isn't mud, right? BUT, my point is it was IMPOSSIBLE to get anywhere near. We stayed in the way, way back for a couple songs and they sounded as good could be from behind the track, but fuck it was nasty by that stage.
drinking some beer, doing online grocery shopping and watching some goose live stuff on youtube. really looking forward to their set. wife came downstairs in the middle of a hetty jam and just goes "oh god, it's been forever since we've been in one of these crowds"

My wife puts it like this: "will this be one of those shows where you high five everyone at the start of every song?"
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

Is there a bonnaroo 2022 roll call thread? brunch thread? camping /groop threads?
the wife, unprompted, asked me if I'd already bought bonnaroo tickets for the two us. She hasn't been since 2016 and I didn't get the impression she ever wanted to go back, but she's the one pushing the issue lol. We hadn't really discussed attending, much less her coming too. I figured i'd sheepishly ask to go solo whenever I found a cheap deal on tickets. But I guess this means we are officially going.
I think between the last minute cancellation of last fall combined with the not ZOMG! lineup reaction those threads have not been created. And is gROOp gonna be a thing this year? I know there’s almost no talk in The Facebook group on it, but my wife was askin’ me the other day ‘bout it.
Agree completely on the “why.” Fwiw I still have Signal app downloaded from last year when a bunch of us had wanted to meet up at Goose and some other sets. I think 3post1jack1 is admining that group chat - not to put more work on you to keep it up, but I’d love to actually get to use it this year and meet up with some folks at shows.
