I went to Toki’s last LA show and nobody was there. It was half filled on the floor with a tarped off balcony. Her doing anything above the Gobi against bigger names would shock me
Mikey let’s switch Tokimonsta and Spirtualized. Originally when SHM was scheduled to perform they made sense in those locations, but now I think they make more sense switched.
Also apparently Anderson Paak is guesting at her set for at least one weekend.
I want to disagree with this because Spiritualized is just going to get killed in that slot, but I think I agree. Man, I hope Spiritualized gets a slot that doesn't require a huge sacrifice. Was just listening to their stuff again and getting more excited for the new album.
I also don't think Black Coffee and The Avalanches will conflict.
So maybe something that can solve a couple issues: slide Pink Sweat$ into The Avalanches' spot in the Gobi, move The Avalanches to closing the Mojave, and then swap Spiritualized and Pink Sweat$. So that the Gobi runs Pink Sweat$-Spiritualized-Epik High-Tokimonsta, with The Avalanches in Pink Sweat$ current spot closing Mojave

Right before reading this I was thinking she had too good of a slot, and dropped her quite a bit in the Gobi.

Agreed, that was a miss on my part. I went and tweaked things again, thoughts now?
I do think since Lane 8 is confirmed for the Mojave, there's a decent chance he closes it. No way he plays before the sun goes down.

If anything, TOKiMONSTA should be in the Sahara in Black Coffee's place. All of her sets fit the Sahara just fine and Black Coffee can just play one of the smaller tents like he did before, especially the Mojave if it's bigger now.

I think the changes so far look decent...but now having Phoebe and Spiritualized conflicting seems off. How do we fix?
A straight BADBADNOTGOOD and Spiritualized swap would work, and would actually get people to Spiritualized I think. Would be pretty early in the day for Spiritualized's billing, and a fairly significant downgrade from where we had them, but it's not unprecedented with these kind of legend/influential but not super popular rock acts. I think Spiritualized will depend on whether they have firm stage demands (and thus end up in a prime time with no one there) or not

Oh I agree it’ll be sparse, but the singles have gotten a bit of buzz on subreddits like indie heads and I think it could’ve been the difference between, like, 50 people vs 150

I don’t like how much room we giving Danny Ellfman. Hans was way more hyped and still had to compete with DJ Khaled. No way those are the only options for an hour between Megan and Flume. No way.

Agree Hans was way more hyped, drew a bigger crowd than Danny will, and put on a better show than Danny will. But at the end of the day, Danny’s higher billed, which complicates things a little.

I think the billing will lead to a great time slot outdoor. I just don’t think the Sahara/Mojave won’t have big acts at the time. Nobody 21-33 want to hear that man.
And before people get at me I don’t mean nobody literally. Yes. Someone between those ages is excited for this. Most aren’t.

Wow, that's a pretty great lineup. Holding out hope he brings out Trent Reznor for their recent collab.
