Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean, Taylor Swift would be a ridiculously strong trio. Maybe strongest 3 ever? If they can add Rage as a "returning" 4th headliner, sheesh. Sounds super expensive though.

Anything less than this now and I’ll jump off a bridge
If this be true, Taylor missing an LA date a few weeks before the lineup drop would be pretty telling...
Could see her doing the NY and LA pop radio x mas shows which are the first week of December and then announcing dates so that theyre all pretty much sold out before the poster drops. Now its a question as to when/who gets all 3 names before the mid December cut off and holiday break for the industry.

Radiohead, Kendrick and Beyonce in 2017 was a high bar before the Bey cancellation. And considering the price jump its the kind of trio/quartet anyone that bought a ticket is expecting to be on the poster for 2023.

Taylor makes just too much sense for this year, however when the new record drops she’ll have 4 albums of material that have yet to be played live. Only getting 90mins at Coachella would be interesting to see how she would create the setlist.

2 weekends, 2 diff setlists. Make it 3 with Stagecoach and youll get the first 3 albums being Taylor's version.

That’s 4 artists that would be the top billed artist at most fests (maybe Frank wouldn’t). I really doubt all 4 are on the lineup unless they’ve completely upped the budget this year.

Eh, they had 2/4 for 2020 when tickets were significantly cheaper than they are now so it’s possibly in their budget. I think they stick to 3 headliners though.

You saw how much the price went up this year?
Their cost likely went up as well. Literally everything is more expensive now. In fact rising costs was cited as a reason why 2022 lineups were generally seen as weak.

Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny together are WAY more expensive than Travis Scott though.

Not necessarily. Its been pretty consistent since 2017 that theyve maxed out at 8 mil for a headliner. So 10 would be it and 5 mil a performance isnt that outlandish since thats stadium money. If you want outlandish, apparently Arctic Monkeys got £12 million gbp for Reading and Leeds. Almost 15 million usd for them? Thats overkill.

I would be surprised if they're not paying staff more now given how many people seemingly left the industry during the core covid period; lots of stories of staffing shortages and loss of internal knowledge causing issues with fests this year. It's virtually guaranteed that they're paying artists more given the increase in gas prices (and subsequent increase in cost of touring; solo shows seem to be more expensive as well and I'm guessing this is why). It's hard to imagine that the festival isn't at least 10-25% more expensive to run now than it would've been in 2020.

There is way more expenses than just the headliners. There’s all the staff, building costs, non-headlining artists, etc. And literally all that is more expensive than previous years. So the increased ticket prices doesn’t just mean they can book more headliners.
