Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This isnt happening in 2020. Though yall probably already could assume that.
See you guys in 2021 in Detroit
Any idea when there will be an announcement?
I was literally just about to buy a flight to Detroit from the UK
Not sure on the announcement. My info is from some artist friends who were playing but have now cancelled all shows for 2020. Seems to be what all booking agents are doing right now.
I wouldnt expect ANY music festivals to take place in 2020 in general. Even festivals in early 2021 are in jeopardy.
There wont be another music festival until there is a vaccine.

Couple weeks ago I booked my 2021 hotel. The Siren is $160/night which is a good deal for a downtown hotel. Strangely the Courtyard and Ren Cen haven't opened up bookings yet, same with the DoubleTree.
Siren is my safety, hoping to get into the Courtyard, Foundation, or Crowne Plaza.
thanks! i would like to see more of next year's lineup before I request a refund though...id hope they would be able to keep jamie xx, four tet, and jon hopkins.

I know I'm going no matter what but I really hope they get Underworld to recommit.

stacey pullen streaming from TV Lounge via Paxahau twitch today at 2pm central.
also when i use google assistant to set a reminder for this last night it correctly identified the spelling of "Paxahau" just by my voice, good job google.
I live over here in the UK and curious what the general feeling is for the coming year?
I'd say the general temperature on the board is that we'll probably see fests start back up around Lollapalooza in late July/early August, with those that are typically held earlier being postponed until after that time frame, like Roo getting pushed to September and Coachella to October. It's a cautious optimism, but I think that's where we're at, mostly.

i generally concur with pablo's impression of the overall temperature of the board.
1. u.s. has secured enough vaccine doses to vaccinate half the population by end of summer. this only includes approved vaccines (pfizer/moderna). we'll need to see if the promised vaccine deliveries occur (no reason to think they won't, but shit happens), and then we need to get vaccines into arms, which i think the new administration will do a better job of than the old (though that is a low bar)
2. if johnson and johnson and/or AZ get approved we can vaccinate even more people.
3. we're also just going to have a lot more people who have been infected and developed antibodies by then.
i think the first thing to watch worldwide is Israel. they are doing kick ass at getting jabs in arms, will be illuminating to watch their hospitalizations and death numbers over the next six months.
of course for US fests we'll also need to watch hospitalizations and deaths here. we've seen a tickdown in these the past week or so, which is great, but that is likely just lag from the holidays finally calming down. we haven't vaccinated enough people yet to start seeing meaningful impacts on the numbers.

Per an email from Paxahau this morning:
An Update from Movement HQ
Dear Movement Family
We have been looking forward to reuniting with all of you on Memorial Day weekend, but the ongoing pandemic and state regulations have led us to the painful realization that our beloved Movement Festival will not happen in May 2021.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate our way through these challenging times and difficult decisions. Our team is working hard to provide updates about future dates and ticketing options. We will be in touch next month with more information.
Thank you for holding onto your tickets, your unwavering support will not go unnoticed. We promise that we will always look out for your safety and will work to bring you the greatest experience possible when we can all gather again in Techno City.
In the meantime, we urge everyone to please stay safe, follow the health guidelines and respect one another.
It's continually frustrating when festivals/events/etc use "State regulations" as the reason why they can't hold an event right now. No, the reason why you cant hold an event in May 2021 is the pandemic.

they also noted on instagram that refunds or rollovers will be available once they announce the new date. of course i'm curious what the new date will be. fall 2021 or may 2022?
Fall is gonna be too crowded now. Its probably 2022. And anticipating what can happen with all the after parties and maybe having it be a super spreader because of it is not good.

yeah some of the biggest afterparties are in small hot concrete boxes lol. literally the worst place to be in a pandemic.
for my friends who only know electronic music from big EDM fests, i always like to show them this video to give them an idea of what Movement afterparties are like:
terrible audio quality and not in detroit but it captures so well the vibe of a movement after.

when i watch it i just get a feeling that for somebody in that room it was the greatest night of their lives.

got an email from Movement saying there will not be a Fall 2021 Movement. Which seemed pretty obvious at this point. So next Movement is May 2022.
Interestingly rather than doing rollovers they are just straight up refunding everyone. Which is fine with me, but I would've been happy to continue to roll over my cheap VIP ticket.
Probably see a price bump for 2022. which again is fine movement is already such a bargain. i just hope they choose a price point that makes them money but still sells tickets. based on crowds movement always seems to do well, but since it's a small festival with a unique lineup i'm always concerned about it's financial health, especially since they will end up going three years without their biggest money making event.
I also got an email for a private presale. Buy the same tickets you bought for 2020 at the same price, assuming you held on to them through August 2021 when they refunded everybody. Hat tip to pax that's mighty kind of them.
