I almost dozed off at a Ladysmith Black Mambazo show years ago, but it’s because it was so beautiful and soothing, as intended. Coincidentally, that is my next show in a few weeks, rescheduled from March 2020 (my first cancellation). I’ll be sure to stay caffeinated.

first, love this poll. way better than condiment survivor. feel like once we get to condiment survivor maybe we are done with survivors. or maybe grilled/fried batter survivor will be the last one.
not on this list but i've long had an internet resentment against the people who wanted The XX to play late night. what the fuck. and now nobody likes The XX except for that one song so i win.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Realistically Tame is probably the one least likely to put me asleep bc I’m most likely to be on drugs at their show (not saying I wouldn’t maybe at some of these others too, but at Tame almost certainly).

Yeah 3post1jack1 I probably won't do any more food related ones, they're fun but that ground has been well tread.
For this one, I was actually thinking of their recorded output rather than live. Like, if you settle into the covers for a Sunday afternoon nap, which bands will keep you up, vs lull you right to sleep? Of course, y'all can vote for live if you want, it's your game now
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Helpful context. So you need someone who isn't really interesting enough to hold your attention but not terrible enough to distract you. To me the best candidates are a new studio album from a band you haven't liked in a long time but still listen once to their new album out of loyalty or obligation.
This really makes Wilco a stronger candidate to me. I won't fall asleep at a Wilco show but please don't make me listen to the new albums.
