in his time in Minnesota he's the best rated QB they've ever had, 4th in yds, td, wins (better win % than Dante and Kramer (who the fuck is that?), first in rating and completion %
80 more tds than favre w only 10 more interceptions
he's arguably the best QB they've ever had
hahahahahahahahahaha
that says more about our qb's than cousins. he's great on paper but his inability to escape pressure and improvise when needed has screwed us many times. he's better than what's out there and if we can improve our defense we should be decent but anyone who watches the vikings 17 games a year doesn't have much optimism to have any real success.
no zig you're right the Vikings should've kept Keenum instead and paid him long term starter money
That’s not what I said. They invested money into both players. I never advocated for them to resign Keenun.
Keenum was a 1 year investment for about $2M that yielded a first round bye, one of the Vikings’ most memorable (positive) moments in their playoff history and got them to the NFC Championship.
Cousins has already been in MN for 4 years, cost about $150M, and has yielded them a single playoff berth and 1 wild card win.
And TBH, they essentially played on back-to-back similar teams (e.g., same offensive skill position personal) in 2017 and 2018. Keenum was 11-3, Cousins was 8-7-1.
When you get paid top 5 QB money, you get scrutinized as a top 5 QB. He’s a 12 to 18 ranked QB that smartly contract maneuvered himself into an overbloated contract that the Vikings can’t get out of now.
he's made 2 of the last 3 probowls, he's got better stats than a handful of those guys, as many playoff wins as a handful of those guys, bunch of guys on that list unobtainable for most teams
even if he's the 6th best QB in the NFC per your list, that's still a positive for making and competing in the playoffs
and it should be noted that his contract is crazy high because they tried to get cute and not sign him to long term deals, but they were obviously tagging him because he's an above avg QB and a fair amount of teams run out losers at the position
just a fan of a team that had some brutal QB years that culminated in the best in franchise history being a rapist, no surprise Dan-O and his browns trauma agrees he's over hated, grass is greener I guess
Happy to see Teddy B sign with the Dolphins. He is sold on every saints fan and becomes one of those mfers you always pull for in the future. 100% for Teddy in whatever capacity except if we ever play him.
I’m 50/50 on Watson-Jameis. I love both of those guys’ abilities. Both are elite talents with the right coaching. I figure the Panthers will up the ante to try to compete with us and the Bucs again. But it’s a high price - 3 #1’s, a 2 and probably an upper echelon talent. Saints could pull it off by accelerating his salary and paying it all up front. But do you want to lose 3 firsts? Tough call. If Loomis and Ireland think Watson can help us compete for a title while we still have most of this defense intact, you make the trade expecting to lose Marcus Williams, having to let Malcolm Jenkins walk again (crying) and possibly trade Davenport so we would need mega Safety help and then hope Payton Turner can step into that power edge role. Davenport is awesome, but he hasn’t been able to stay healthy. He cost us two first rounders to get him when we traded with the pack for #14 in 2018. So he’s at least 1.3 additional first rounders.
Holy shit. Has Mad Dog ever posted during a Vikings game? Are you Kirk cousins in disguise?
Seeing someone die on the Kurt Cousins hill is just fascinating and ridiculous. Maddog definitely has to be in the Cousins payroll otherwise it makes no sense. Like, glitch in the simulation ridiculous.
