I’m the biggest Von Miller fan out there (I have a “[Von Miller face] is Dope” t-shirt), and cdevaney will love watching him, but 6 years, 120M total, with 51M guaranteed is just stupid. He’ll be 33 next month. Broncos fans were thinking a 3 year deal with 2 guaranteed.
Yeah, it sounds like it's a three year deal with smoke and mirrors on the back end and a small cap hit this year. The rest of the the Bills' DE's are on rookie deals (AJ Epanesa from 2020 and Bookie Basham and Groot Russeau from 2021) so there's not a lot of money tied up in the position.
Also like the OJ Howard upgrade at TE2.
Jordan Phillips coming back at DT with Tim Settle and DaQuan Jones to rotate in alongside Ed Oliver sounds good to me.
Beyond Mitch, the Steelers have done a nice job I think. Mason Cole and James Daniels on the OL, both very flexible positionally, along with retaining Chuks. Myles Jack will be an upgrade in the LB corps, and I like the Levi Wallace signing.
Draft needs coming into more focus but also having ability to take BPA.
are y'all going to keep juju? I assumed he'd get a solid deal but everyone else is getting signed to big deals and crickets for him

quiet on that front. Seemed like no last week. We will need a WR in the 2nd or 3rd if we don't sign JuJu. Actually probably either way.
Overheard on sports radio this afternoon: Brian Hoyer is currently teaching Joe Judge the Patriots offense.
Not sure what's worse, the fact that there's no offensive coordinator, the fact that Judge is the closest thing to an offensive coordinator, or that the backup QB is more qualified than the actual coaching staff
The Pats don't have a defensive coordinator either, unless you're counting Bill's son and maybe Jerod Mayo

Feels like the Browns are really doing Baker dirty with this "Adult at QB" talk. From what I've seen he's always been a major team player and enthusiastic about representing the organization. Not to mention the most success the team has had in decades has been with him at the helm. Hope he finds a good landing spot

Unfortunately for him he'll probably be this year's Colts Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher.

Edit:
I hope OJ works out. I really liked the pick a few years ago but he's only shown flashes of what his potential is and he's dealt with some injuries that have hurt his time getting into a groove.
If we end up with Watson as our QB, I'm going to probably just detach my morals from my fandom and embrace anyone and everyone who can just help us win games. As long as the players aren't gambling, we encourage all winners into the Saints organization.
I mean, Brees had some pretty terrible beliefs and opinions and is apparently an awful NFL TV analyst. He also was a whore for sponsorship endorsements. But I put up with him for a decade and a half with open arms

is this satire
Mostly - the only part that is sadly true is that if he does end up here I'll very likely just leave my morals at the door and cheer for him

Yeah, I'm hoping that the Bills S&C team can work their magic with him.
We met again with Watson last night and have asked him to waive his trade clause. No telling if that's going to happen. If it does, Ceedy Duce scrubbing the Saints from his twitter account probably means he's part of the trade package - if it happens. He's my favorite Saint and certainly our most obnoxious. But he's funny as shit and makes the game fun too with his antics. He'd be a nice pickup for the Texans.
Saints also opened up $30MM in cap space restructuring Taysom Hill, Bradley Roby, DeMario Davis and Malcolm Jenkins. We still haven't cut anyone and are now $29+MM below the cap. I'd link in Gentle Giant's parody pop song - Bet You Thought We Couldn't Do It - but it's probably my least favorite Gentle Giant song ever. If you don't know them, Free Hand and Three Friends are both pretty good. Octopus and The Power and the Glory are their next best albums (also very good).
