Dominoes need to fall now. Texans, Saints, Falcons all have a need at QB. Mayfield to Houston? Winston back here? Ryan to the Colts? Winston to the Colts? Hill here with OBJ back home in N.O.?
I was okay with Watson, but I’m glad we didn’t have to give up all that capital.
Just disgusted by the Browns. They were probably the team I pulled for the most in the AFC after the Bills but if rather root for the Pats then them.
I hope they let Watson play to start this season and then suspend him for like 17 games starting in Week fifteen. That way it screws them for a potential playoff run thus season, screws them for next season, and he personally gets a bigger financial hit. I also hope that his accusers significantly increase their financial demands now that his pockets are so much deeper.
What in the actual fuck just happened? The Browns were "all in" when they flew the brain trust down to talk to his people. Then it was announced that the Browns were out of the running, and the Falcons and Saints looked like the choices. Now we're getting him in Cleveland??
As much as I want to have an upper tier QB, which we haven't had probably in my lifetime (Bernie Kosar was good but not arguably top-5 in his era), this makes me uncomfortable. It makes me more uncomfortable than signing Kareem Hunt, who is a local guy and has taken advantage of the second chance and rehabilitated his life after some real nastiness. I'm not turning in my brown & orange, but I'm sure not buying a Watson jersey.
In re the mysterious looming suspension, the Browns didn't cut Case Keenum today to avoid a $1 mil. roster bonus. So they know their new prize might be unavailable for some amount of time, but they're keeping the $6 mil. backup QB who they pretty much refused to play last year except when they had to, even though Mayfield was injured and ineffective? I hope this all works out, and it could, but this kind of seems like the smart, competitive Browns reverting to the same old desperate and bumbling Browns we were all so accustomed to. Jeepers creepers.

The whole situation is gross.
Accusers who were principled and didn't want to settle without their day in court telling their stories be like, "He's getting HOW much???"
I totally understand your sentiment. I don't like rooting for bad people just because they wear my team's colors, and a lot of us have a soft spot for the Bills and their fans. This is icky.

Yeah pretty much with you on all that. I was surprised to see case not getting cut too, the facts they preferred baker with 1 limb to keenum is telling.
Haha That was fucked up shit, but I posted some of those memes last week when Williams signed that money contract with the Ravens. He’s an otherwise pretty awesome Safety who was part of the reason why we were able to destroy some otherwise great offenses or even shut them out as we did the defending champs. He should be great in Baltimore.
I think Winston will be our quarterback. He’s our best option at this point. Any team who was looking for a QB had to kick those proverbial tires when Watson became available. Multiple teams including the saints did enough due diligence to warrant interest even at a very high asking price. Hopefully he does well in Cleveland and should give a shitload back to that city.
