Saints have reopened contract negotiations with Jarvis Landry and have scheduled Sony Michel for a visit. We do need to address the RB 2/3 position for when Kamara is suspended for beating up that guy in the elevator. And Landry working with some of the young guys and complimenting Thomas, Olave, Harty (FKA Harris) could be sweet.

I love how PM admits in the video that he and the Broncos accidentally broke some rules in the NFL draft process with Russell Wilson a decade ago because PM was in the building.

Tanking.
Can't forget Marquez Callaway. If Callaway is the new #4 receiver after being our #1 all season last year, Jameis is going to have all the weapons he needs to be successful.
International Schedule is out featuring Saints vs. Vikings in London week #4. Full schedule is to be released next week on May 12th.
09/15 - Chargers/Chiefs @ 7:20pm <-- Second Thursday Night (Amazon Prime)
International Games: 10/02 - Saints/Vikings @ 8:30am @ Hotspur Stadium, London 10/09 - Giants/Packers @ 8:30am @ Hotspur Stadium, London 10/30 - Broncos Jags @ 8:30am @ Wembley Stadium, London 11/13 - Seahawks Bucks @ 8:30am in Munich, Germany 11/21 - 49ers/Cardinals @ 7:15pm in Mexico City, Mexico
I hope Winston has a better day in London than he did on his last visit. That was a painful performance to watch. 5 picks, 7 sacks and a 9.3 QBR. I think there was a fumble or 3 in that game too.

Also spent. I have to work tomorrow so had to stay in instead of seeing Karl Denson do Bowie and 2am Break Science. So I decided to watch our last 4 games highlights. Trevor Seiman, Taysom Hill, Drew Brees and Jameis before y’all injured him. He will get one or two finishing wins this year. Everybody knows the only reason Brady is coming back is to try to put some Preparation H on that ass. It won’t work. Best hope is a split.
I think the problem w Jameis isn't his weapons it's his decision making, he had Godwin and Evans w decent peripheral guys at RB and TE w a very good defense in Tampa, and while he lit up the yards he had 30 interceptions, thats not on talent

Same thing with Wentz last season. They asked him to game manage and only have to make some plays part of the time and he still shit the bed when it mattered.

Coaching didn’t cut it though. It was too wide open. Look at where he was with us before tearing his knee in the Tampa game. 5-2, like 14 TD’s, 3 Interceptions 101/102 QBR. Low yardage but he wasn’t being asked to be the main guy who had to win shit directly more like handle shit.

Bruce arians is a pretty elite coach I don't think that was the issue

He only had Arians for a year. Didn't he mostly have Dirk Koetter?
Yeah. And that’s the thing. It’s not a knock on Arians per se. But since it’s always cited about the 5000 yards but 30 Int year, he wasn’t handled properly. It takes some time for shit to hum. Also having an elite coach at the time we brought him in, they let him learn on the cheap from a top 3 [tm] QB how to be a real professional and how to win. Again, I can’t cite anything as a finished product because he only got a half season in. We will see if Pete Carmichael can get him to a place where he is more of an asset to a winning team and less potential liability.
In the end, we were generally better than Tampa and had better offensive coaches who know and understand more football. He needed to see another way to do things.
New strategy for not leading the league in INTs…hold the ball.
Maybe don’t make wild throws by not trying to force things that aren’t there? Also maybe get corrective eye surgery so you can actually see? How that was overlooked in all his years in Tampa is a big ass question mark. Dude couldn’t fucking see. Maybe also being put in a position where he doesn’t have to win things by himself and can play a complimentary piece.

NFL announced a Week 2 Monday Night Football double header - 7:15 kickoff in Buffalo for Titans-Bills (I think it was in Buffalo, at least) and 8:30 kickoff for Vikings at Eagles. I haven't seen a reason for a Week 2 MNF double header...Bills are on ESPN and Eagles on ABC. I think this is odd (though I'm in favor of MNF double headers - would rather they follow each other though instead of overlap).

Since theyre both east coast cities they mightve had their hands tied. Normally the double headers have had one central or east time zone team and a west time zone team. But maybe they just dont expect to make it a 7 hour tv watching thing for people and figure theyre gonna lose a ton of east coast viewership with a game kicking off at 10:30pm.

They could have opted to not have a double header with this issue though. Previous double headers on MNF have been Week 1 and have had an LA/Las Vegas location in my memory - I think it's always been a west coast game. So to have a MNF doubleheader in Week 2, and with no west coast game involved, is the first time they've made that decision (COVID cancellations excepted, I don't remember what those were but those were borne of necessity obviously).

"not a championship caliber roster" "should start over" ...
I thought it came up, but apparently not. We're happy to have him though. I don't know if Maye/Mathieu will be as good as Malcolm Jenkins/Marcus Williams, but I'm hopeful. I think our secondary overall is better with Lattimore having one more season under him and CGJ turning into a menace.
