I just didn’t understand how the grouping make sense as far as narrowing people down.
Like I could have said more “bold things”. One time I did point out I was keeping one thought on the Jortles whack to myself. Reason being is I didn’t want the mafia to get an idea from it. Plus, I was curious who else might bring it up. And actually, you brought it up. The idea that maybe Jortles was inspector.
I don’t actually believe that’s the case so throwing into the game wasn’t really something I was interested in doing. That’s not really me going with the flow. It’s just trying to have some sense of control over the discourse in the game.
Just a random example of how I play.
Plus, I have pushed back against the inspector saying we should vote off both the Ladies. Or at least develop a strategy on doing that. How is that going with the flow?
From my observations these people have been more going with the flow: Theo, Rummy, SFA
These people have been a little more contrarian/bold: Potent, Tranter, Teddy
If we are going to say there are 2 maf left I would guess there's a maf in either group, although I'm not so sure Cum was town.

what makes me "go with the flow" in your opinion? theo def has been (he tends to be in either role except when intentionally being chaotic maf/chaotic townie), and i do think sfa has been fairly diplomatic, which he isn't always.
but i pushed back on MD a bit at first for sure. idk how to be More Bold for your tastes, but also i dont particularly care for your categorizations either way since it all just feels a bit construed, hmm?
I never pushed back against Maddog because it would have been an incredibly absurd move for a mafia to make. It was certainly too early for him to make that move, but that's not a reason to doubt the reveal

it def would’ve been strategically absurd for mafia to do that. Maddog just got so up in arms immediately, it threw me at first - but then I quickly recalled how that’s just how he plays Inspo, for whatever reason.
To be clear, I’m not saying that those who didn’t push back on MD are somehow sus. Not at all. Just trying to speak to rooloo’s theorizing as best I can, for whatever it’s worth

Maddog waited 43 minutes between his reveal and actually revealing his given. In that time, everyone alive except Potent made some sort of comment/reaction, and unless the trio is Potent-Cum-Otter, a mafia saw his original post and made the conscious decision not to whack him before he named his given. Of course they might have waited to see if Maddog was legit versus him being a town faking inspector, but the more I read back the initial reaction the more I get the feeling there was that decision made to not whack him there. In fact, it was even directly called out:

I think that I was on the "might be faking train" is overstating it a bit. I generally am more skeptical of inspector reveals, especially if they don't do it the way I would do it - which isn't fair, but it is what it is. I didn't understand why Maddog voted for his given, since there was an opening for a retaliation vote that would put him in the runoff. I didn't understand why he would guess Jortles when he was in the runoff - again, with Otter's name it would have made sense to guess me, since I voted him second in the game and moved my vote to "save" Otter from the runoff. I didn't understand why he would blow his guess so early - but that was also because my proposal was a little different than what Danbob put into play here (my proposal was that inspector could only guess after mafia had whacked, which was a stupid proposal but was how I was thinking about it). Ultimately though I believed Maddog, realized why he wasn't whacked, and voted Otter D2 along with everyone else but you initially (and Otter, obv).

I moved because someone had to, and I had no reason to vote for one over the other. But, at this time, we knew that Maddog was revealed, had given Otter, and knew Jortles was town.
This is the count right before Maddog had his mini meltdown:
Maddog 4 - (Jortles, Otter, Rummy, Cum)
Jortles 2 - (Tranter, Teddy)
Rummy 2 - (SFA, Potent)
Cum 2 - (Theo, Rooloo)
Remember that Maddog/Rummy/Cum were the revotes going into D1R2. I think all three were town, but the one chance was that Cum was mafia and they saw that Maddog was sort of hinting at Otter, so they decided to press it. It's unlikely, but I think that combo would be Otter/Cum/SFA. I guess Theo or Rooloo could vote for or stack their teammate, but it's much less likely. This is a good argument that Cum is town.
SFA and rooloo could be distancing at the beginning of D3. Theo and Rooloo could be "distancing" in a different way by voting together on D1R1. In any event, if I had my way, it would be a runoff of those three today.

This is Theo's post voting for Tranter. Let me ask you something Jeremy Fragrance - why did you post these out of order? Someone who doesn't know your role could view this as a misleading way to make people think that Tranter's post came after Maddog revealed Otter as his given. I was going to remove the Maddog posts from your posts, but then I realized that the Maddog post you have second here, naming Otter, came one minute *after* Tranter said that Maddog could be whacked at any minute. It took some effort on your part to organize the posts like that, unless I'm an idiot which is entirely possible. Anytime I've quoted multiple posts, using "select post", it puts them in chronological order. I guess maybe if you select posts in a different order maybe it puts them in a different order? Still seems like it takes effort.
Anyway, I'm glad you responded so I could notice this, because it's super weird.
It seems entirely reasonable to me for Tranter to point out that Maddog could have been whacked without revealing his given, which would have been detrimental to the town.
