If we get rid of Suf, every remaining act will be in the first half of the alphabet, because they all want to show up at the top of local festival posters without actually having the catalog to back it up
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I've seen BOH at fests and as an opening act about a billion times and the only memorable one was when they tried to start their set when Lou Reed was still playing and got drowned out.

Band of Horses should definitely go before Sujfan Stevens or Bon Iver.
Band of Horses is both boring AND sleepy.
Suf is not boring at all, and only sometimes sleepy. Same with Bon, though I think he’s arguably a lil more sleepy
I love our boy Suf with all of my heart, and BOH may be sleepy, but they are beautiful as well. And Ben Bridwell is a nice guy and likes to smoke weed on the beach, and you gotta love that.
So take it as a song or a lesson to learn And sometime soon be better than you were If you say you're gonna go, then be careful And watch how you treat every living soul

and LOL. comment on youtube "Never imagined detlef shrempf could evoke such emotion this must have been looking back at the year 1995 when he shot over 50% from downtown"
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I like them just fine on record, but I am not just saying this to try and argue against them for the sake of the round - they were VERY bad when I saw them live. Extremely pitchy and the energy just wasn’t there. Maybe it was an off day, but I remember it well - how I kept waiting for it to pick up and improve , and it didn’t so I left before the set even ended. And I like slow music, so that wasn’t the issue

Bon voters - I see you, I respect you, but do you really want to split the vote here and let the Horse Voters win??
Go Suf here and Bon’s time will be soon.
Sufjan still wouldn't win lol
that’s fine but it’s the PRINCIPLE OF THE MATTER, Pablo. It would make it neck & neck then. This is less about Suf winning this round for me and more about the fact that I think BoH should honestly be in top 5-7 here.
Are you one of these Horse Voters??? *takes notes*

I have now listened to that song 4 times. So beautiful. About someone loving you even after you have said something terrible or fucked up and completely humiliated yourself so much that you have to skip town.

I am honestly astonished BOH is still around. It’s one of the only records I bought in the early days of my collection that i’ve had no problem letting go of during a recent purge.

BOH is a lot like The National. Seems to be music made for Gen X sads because it still rides the same muscial vein as 90s music, while continuing to be self-reflective about one's past transgressions, the lonely upbringing we had with our detached boomer parents, all with a touch of self-depreciation.

Don't think I've heard Bright Eyes even get mentioned once yet. A definite dark horse pick to win it all.
Better Oblivion Community Center is the Sleepy Supergroup
I am disappointed that my girl Phoebe is not in this as well. I would have voted her out rounds ago because I wouldn't be able to fall asleep to her either, but her music is in the same vein as a lot of these artists in that it is "sad, reflective, slower tempo music", and we needed more ladies in here.
