Big Brother is a social strategic game where a group of people live together in isolation from the outside world. Through a series of competitions and social engineering, players are eliminated until a single winner remains. Originally a Dutch show, the U.S. version premiered in 2000 and has spawned 23 seasons and other celebrity spin-offs. The popular international format has produced over 500 seasons in more than 62 countries all over the world.
The online version works in the same way, except we are using Inforoo instead of a house, and you are not isolated from the outside world.
Player’s Guide
Common Terms
Head of Household (HOH): A competition at the beginning of each round determines the Head of Household. HOH(s) will be immune and are required to nominate others for eviction as necessary.
Nominations: A ceremony is held in which the HOH nominates two or more houseguests for eviction.
Power of Veto (POV): A competition is held where six (6) houseguests compete for the Power of Veto. The competitors include the HOH, the nominees, and other randomly chosen houseguests. The veto holder can choose to remove one of the nominees from the block, forcing the HOH to replace them. The veto holder cannot be used as the replacement nominee.
Eviction: After the veto ceremony, the houseguests will vote to evict one of the remaining players on the chopping block. The player receiving the majority of votes will be evicted. In the event of a tie, the HOH will cast the deciding vote.
Round (Sometimes called a “Week” or a “Cycle”): A round consists of an HOH competition, a nomination ceremony, a Power of Veto competition and ceremony, and an eviction ceremony. Although these are the core elements of a Big Brother round, there are times when a round will include other twists and competitions. Rounds generally last from 2-4 days.
Jury: Once nine (9) players remain in the game, evicted houseguests become members of a seven (7) person jury that will determine the winner by a majority vote after questioning the final two players.
Communication
Communication is done with fellow houseguests via this thread and private DMs. This thread will be used to communicate important game information.
Alliance chats are available upon request from the host and need to be at least 3 people.
Players may communicate with one another 1-on-1 via DM as they please, or through whatever means (FB messenger, Discord, etc). Under no circumstances are you allowed to send screenshots to another player. Violation of the screenshot rule will result in immediate eviction.
Competitions
Competitions (HOH, POV) will range from anything including puzzles, trivia, scavenger hunts, mobile app games, etc. Competitions will not be live and you will have 24 hours to submit.
Voting
Voting on eviction night will be done in private DMs. You will have 24 hours to submit your vote before the live eviction ceremony.
Prize
Winner will receive a vinyl record of their choice (reasonably priced) along with some goodies and a memento.

You’ll have 24 hours to submit for competitions and for voting. I think the strategic aspect would be more or less the same as a typical Mafia game. Game shouldn’t last more than 6 weeks so like a draft.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

This sounds super fun but my next six weeks are really up in the air with potential back surgery coming up and all the appointments that go with it so I'll have to pass. If we do another game down the road I'm in though!

Aside from the game dynamics and the no screenshots rule. Number one rule is to just be respectful. Drama and arguing is fun in BB but no name-calling.

honestly though, that chat screenshot shows such overkill douchebaggery. if it is gonna be like that, i dont want in. im all for the level of jesting and poking we do in mafia, but excessive name calling and personal condemnations is something i do not have interest in engaging in with my internet compadres. if this is Viking Level Shit, tell me now and i'll bow out
