We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
That 70's Show is boomer humor but for Millenials. There's no good reason for me to chuckle every time Red Foreman calls Eric a dumbass, but I still do.
yeah that was a pretty terrible take, the women of Letterkenny are often the highlight of the show
Oh lord. Ok. Um. Y'all. Guest star female characters who are "badass" don't outweigh the fact that with the exception of the sister (who is a man's take on a "sexually empowered woman" but who dresses and has the body type of like how every boy in the 2000's wanted girls to be) there are no series regular female characters. I had to watch 4 whole seasons of this shiz before I jumped ship. It's be one thing if it were like "Always Sunny" (which of course also has a one-woman-character issue) and it felt like "hey the woman is just as insane as the men", but the women in episodes of "Letterkenny" that I've seen are always gritty babes who have to whip these darn boys into shape!

The only "Letterkenny" thing I will concede is that the dialogue is snappy. We were living with GF's brother and that's what I came home to every night from work (he loved watching it high), but I also objectively think it's only for "boys". Which is why he loved it!

I won’t argue your overall point (because you’re right), but I think you’re undervaluing Tanis. I think she gained layers as the show went on.
God Damn. Friends was stupid with low bar humor. I couldn’t watch it because I didn’t want to lose IQ points and because it bored the shit out of me. It always seemed like it kind of wanted to build off 20 Something but in an even dumber way. Taco Bell Television.
Don’t know why I even follow these when you idiots always fuck it up
Ha ha I love this attitude! What’s your ideal?
I think the top tier ones are: Curb Seinfeld Always Sunny
Not necessarily my favorites but I feel like these are in a league of their own
Second tier would be: HIMYM 30 Rock The Office Community Malcolm in the Middle Scrubs more mainstream picks but still craft a really good show
Third tier: Friends That 70's Show Fresh Prince generally ok shows, not really a worth a whole watch through but good to catch a few episodes if it comes on live TV.
The rest I honestly don't have opinions on. I don't know where to put Arrested Development. I think at it's peak its tier 1 but it didn't really have a long run as a great show.
I mean Ross gave a few good laughs. I'll never not laugh at "Pivot!" or "My sandwich?!" Weird neurotic humor with a twinge of sociopath that wouldn't feel out of place in Seinfeld, but of course we were never asked to empathize with George or Kramer.
