I swear to god the next time someone tries to convince me with voting patterns without an interesting story to attach to it I'm locking on them instantly.
It’s hilarious in hindsight how we had three townies just ripping each other apart while mafia watched and it never got looked at as such.
It did get looked at like that... close enough. I said Dan and LLL were sitting back cruising. It happens often and is actually poor mafia performance in letting it happen. I'm actually super frustrated with this one. Not like mad, but ready to get into the next game and shit on mafia. All fired up
LLL's definitely been suss the whole game imo. She doesn't have a single post that screams "definitely Townie" to me and has checked every single box from fluff to coasting during big moments to lacking consistency without being transparent about her changes of heart. Also did people mention that Rooloo's "this runoff is sexist because its all men" post could have spooked LLL?
I think one of you two should switch but its hard to be confident rn.
What are your thoughts on LLL not realizing tranter was joking during the night when he said a name? That sequence read as town to me at the time
See Dan knows me too well that its scary. This played with me and lowered my confidence... made me think about it more and more.

I was for sure too fired up to think that one or two of you three wasn’t mafia

Jake Jortles we were all cheering you on in the dead thread and hoping that you would convince Tranter. But it's super easy to say all this stuff as dead people.

I hope you are Mafia again and have to shit on yourself.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

best voting partners of the game were maddog voting for maddog and jortles voting for jortles

Jortles whiffed on his first two rallies against you and me. I wasn’t about to trust his third.
I don’t see why I’m getting the most blame when Jortles disappeared, Silver was dead set on me and Rooloo gave probably one of the worst inspector performances in a while
dude stop railing on rooloo here,
fwiw, maf was between whacking potent and rooloo that first night--and i think they mentioned potent was initially their top suspect. rooloo then correctly guessed LLL who for multiple Days after, no townie was picking up on suspicions of until finally Jortles started to once he began really playing lol.
had they gone potent for the whack, as they easily could've, then rooloo would've entered D2 with two names for town. why are you acting like he did a dismal job?
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I want to be clear that I do blame myself a decent bit here and the frustration im expressing is mostly with myself. I didn't say it in the thread, yaknow because I was town and not mafia, but I may have had 70 drinks this weekend in Washington DC and didn't pay an ounce of attention. So when I embarrassed myself a couple times by trying to get tranter to change the runoff when the deadline passed... there was one other time that I fucked up. It made me less confident in trying to more aggressively steer this ship.

You considered me fucking with Potent a rally against him? I just chose screw with him and edit his posts.

Also, Rummy did a great job as ref, especially during the D3 chaos.
The lock rule was misinterpreted, I believe, in this game. For locks to end the round, everybody not in the runoff has to lock. The extra rule about "final round" is in reference to D5, because obviously there are going to be 2 people in a "runoff". So two locks ends the game.

ooooooooooof bb when you wrote "maybe we should actually just toss this runoff (silv v trant) out the window and do dan v LLL instead" i got real excited. then quickly realized you didnt have the momentum from others to make it happen :/
i was really hoping it was going to be like when we got a town v town runoff to maf v maf with tranter & rooloo a few games back

The problem was there was no runoff so "not in the runoff" made no sense.

His job isn’t just to guess right. It’s to guess right AND survive.

Yeah, there was a whole debate about a rules change in the dead thread. I struggled with how to respond to your editing my posts, and definitely did a double check to make sure I didn't say that.

You and I see this game very differently. In my mind when crazy shit happens I believe it favors Town. Watching LLL just coast during all of that was important. Townies getting after it with each other in a really raw way like that can produce decent information to look at once the dust settles. Especially in a game where we had no reveal.

Not in the runoff refers to those with votes on them currently.

yeah about this--as truly funny as it can be, and i def chuckled at a couple of your edits this game, i think we need to reconsider a rule about this, and the dead thread all agreed.
when you change something as minor as LLL's "never been in a worse game of mafia" to "worse game AS mafia," it is super easy for townies to not catch that switch and it just overly confuses things for folks, although in an amusing way

i appreciate that - i don't really think i did so well haha but also don't think it was an easy game to ref at all.
dan did politely ping me during that end of D3 mayhem to say once i've called a Day, i really shouldn't un-call it. and i agreed with him--that was my b. it didn't change anything in the outcomes at all, but i should've just made the executive decision that the Day was over even though there was confusion around the lock rule; once i'd said it, i should've kept to it.

These would be all time horrendous townies, no? If someone was legitimately trying to use this tactic to manipulate a game, they would be outed as mafia instantly.
Tranter and Silver don't have to lock their votes.
I mean thats not what a runoff is though right? Isn't the definition of a runoff a tied vote that forces an additional round to break the tie?
Yeah, I spoke too quickly in my post a few minutes ago, but if we take it that there's no runoff, that means EVERYONE has to lock their votes, doesn't it?
In any event, we need to clear this up. It's not, and never has been, majority of locks on one player, which is significantly different.

you had gone after me and potent randomly so I assumed your strategy was just your shooting from the hip on random players. I just didn’t really see what you saw in LLL. She was my #2
