Actually pretty good once you get past the dismal top 4 and illenium. a lot i would see in that undercard. would not travel for that though, and especially wouldnt pay San Fran prices
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
oddly enough, this lineup feels smaller than osheaga and firefly
I'm wondering if they have a smaller budget compared to past years? This is the same festival that fairly recently has booked Metallica and The Who and The Weekend and Janet Jackson in the same years.
It's not a terrible lineup. The headliners might be a bit uninspired, but the undercard is solid. I'd go if I were local, but it's not worth a flight + hotel + ticket for me.
Ok so I'm not the only one who thinks this lineup is lacking.
They're crazy for pricing this sooo high.
It's San Francisco. I wouldnt be surprised if APE has a payoff budget to make sure the neighbors shut up about noise complaints even when its turned way down. If they could have regular volume levels there would much more fun to be had cause people wouldnt be upset they couldnt hear anything past the soundboard.
Not an amazing line up by any means but it's not terrible. It'll probably end up as one of the better ones once the year is up.
Solid divide between female/male artists SZA finally getting a headliner bump. Will reverberate among other fests. Mitski is a Pitchfork headliner. Jack Harlow was being touted as a potential Coachella headliner in other threads. Probably will be there soon enough. Anitta riding on a ton of hype from Coachella Wet Leg, Purple Disco Machine, Pusha T, Faye Webster and more rounding off the line up
And the pricing makes sense. Pretty sure the median income level around the park is $250k+. This is not pricey for them and that's not even mentioning how expensive festivals in general have gotten.

The headliners are very, very weak for OSL--and I say that as someone who adores SZA and would see Green Day again--but undercard is pretty strong. This lineup could absolutely 1000% be worse. Mitski, Wet Leg, Local Natives, Sam Fender, Anitta, Disclosure, Purple Disco Machine, Griff, The Beths, and Parcels are all excellent bookings

Janet seemed like a very small draw at fests that year and The Who arena tickets were going for like 15 bucks a couple days before they canceled, can't imagine either got paid more than SZA or Post

This is very true; seeing a bunch of people on Reddit claiming it won't sell out for its price but they are doubting how willing people are to drop hundreds for an Outside Lands wristband every year.
Illenium has been given the SHM treatment and has been upgraded to floating headliner. He is now on the bottom of the poster with a "Special Hometown Performance"
The diff is this sells out the week of because its the defacto back to school fest meetup for the bay area. It hasnt sold out like way in advance in a minute. 5 years ago or so since that.
