Pearl Jam has always been good. I deeply regret letting Last Kiss and my hip hop phase turning me off of them in the mid-late nineties. Now No Code and Yield are my favorite albums by them. Even the stuff they’ve put out the last 20 years is pretty good.
Ranking the remaining acts based on how good they were live (best at the top):
Pearl Jam (1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, 2008, 2016) Nine Inch Nails (1991, 1994, 1995, 2009) Soundgarden (1992, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996) Rage Against The Machine (1993, 1999) Nirvana (1993) Smashing Pumpkins (1991, 1994) Pavement (1994, 1995)
Pearl Jam is bad and lame and you can't convince me otherwise. Best part of their Roo show was when they covered Comfortably Numb. Flipping out on TicketMaster was cool, though.

I never saw Nirvana. I’m not seeing RATM and Pavement until later this year. I only saw Soundgarden and SP once late in their careers. I’ve seen Pearl Jam 6x and NIN 7x. Pearl Jam is definitely the best of them.
Pearl Jam gets props for cultivating setlists for each show rather than just having one setlist for a tour which so many acts seem to, especially act that have been touring for over thirty years. They have a pretty deep bench of covers that they pull from and they seem to enjoy bringing in special guest for their sets.
They usually also bring decent acts in support.
I will say that I have not spent much time with the material that they've released in this millennium.

So hard for me to say as each of them earned a show of the year since 2011.
