We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

i understand this survivor now. what makes it fun is we can't just predict what order things will go in, because tomorrow it will be a whole new batch of songs. that is so long as people continue to vote for the song and not the artist.
My subjective opinion is Kid A is the best OKC is the second best.
I actually like everything Radiohead has done to an extent, but the later you get in their career the less I feel their music. It remains interesting, and sometimes engaging, but nothing post Kid A sends those musical shivers down my body.
Surely part of that is because OKC and Kid A were introduced to me when I was younger, but there are other long running acts that continue to make me feel even on releases deep into their careers, or for that matter newer acts I have no past experience with that make me feel right away.
I wonder if it's because of how much I appreciate a solid pop foundation in any genre I enjoy, and Radiohead has done a lot of work playing around with those pop structures in their later career. So I can listen and say "hey that's neat" but not really connect with it.

What bands still make you feel that deep into their careers? And don’t say Phish.

I’m voting for the song. It has just happened to be the same artist.

Tool, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails. Jason Isbell and Vampire Weekend, if you can count them as being deep in their careers. All those acts newest shit still makes me feel. Obviously Metallica had some missteps but I'm still blown away by how good Hardwired is.

I’m with you on Tool, NIN not as much but still pretty good. Don’t think the other 2 have been around along enough to say.

Well RH are 30 years in, right?
is "Damon Albarn's output" cheating if it's spread across several different projects? I loved The Now Now just as much as, say, Modern Life is Rubbish. He'd be a good candidate for a top ten.
Beyonce's first album with Destiny Child came out a smidge under 23 years ago.
