No one irl cares about LCD. I literally didn’t go in 2016 despite some of my friends going because some EDM DJ called LCD Soundsystem were headlining and I’d never heard of them in my life.
I still don’t understand how they headlined stuff in 2016. That agent had the Midas touch.
Wow, careful with that around here. But yeah, seeing LCD positioned where they were meant I knew I'd be wandering aimlessly or back at camp pregaming for Tame Impala or Blood Orange after 11:00 or so. I'm completely neutral on them, so I thinks I'm being fair when I say they were a weak headliner. Same with J. Cole and Stevie this year - they're fine, but we've had much, much better fits for those time slots.

lol I know. I mean I think they're great now. One of their shows I saw last year is a top 3 show all time for me. Just in terms of size I think they're one of the smallest headliners Bonnaroo has ever had even if it was boasted by their reunion in 2016.
Right now StubHub has 420 tix available for about $250. I thought there’d be way more being sold at this point.
$250 before fees, close to $780 for a pair, all-in. I'm seeing $692 for a pair at Seat Geek, $762 from Vivid. Not sure where to turn yet but I want to buy within the next week, hopefully sooner so I don't chicken out.

Just went up a little on StubHub. Pull the trigger, dawg!!!!

Oh, for sure. Saying I'm neutral is actually praise from me. I'm not a fan but I don't knock my friends for being really into them. We're in agreement then - regardless of how good they may be, they're not a typical big fest headliner in terms of draw or mass appeal. I look at Stevie and J. Cole the same way in that respect, and Tool is no Eminem, Jay Z, or Paul.
Apparently the number of tickets sold may be at the very low end of what we're all guessing here. 😬
Imagine running a festival that is selling that badly and doing nothing about it. No artist additions. Minimal promotion. Hell, it doesn't even look like they put any time into the schedule to make things look better.
I'm kind of with Todd. I don't think it'll be as catastrophic as many may think, I'd guess around 50 to 55K.
What's frustrating is they could probably get a fair bit more than that in last minute ticket sales if their communications were more on-game. Throwback pictures and sponsor posts just don't really sell the event.
From someone with panic attack issues lately, that sounds like a return to 2016. Which actually will be really cool for the people there... I'm sorry I can't really feel bad for the corporation running things right now.

2016 was almost double that number and still felt barren.
Yeah moving Groop in would be one of my main concerns. Nobody would want to walk to and from an empty field, and it would be a bad look too.
I really don’t know how up to date that figure is, but given that I heard that ballpark figure from two separate people this week it seems recent / legit.

We agree on that. I think it's more like... we live in different times, and the curation of this festival year wasn't great (if someone thinks I'm wrong, I don't know where the fuck you've been).. so I'm going to take the win on feeling less stressed out
