Not sure what sad recipe you use but pancakes and waffles generally have eggs in the batter (and milk). Also, butter is usually added on top of all dishes as well. Odd way to try to separate them IMO.

French Toast Pancakes Crepes Waffles
There is another subset of people like me who for a variety of reasons don’t like eggs all that much or egg forward batters (egg-centric). I have it waffles pancakes French toast crepes though I have eaten many delicious savory and sweet crepes.
