I was in one of my best friends wedding last summer. We had the rehearsal dinner at Cafe Ba Ba Reeba in Lincoln Park, which is north of the loop/downtown. After the dinner was over, my girlfriend and I were talking to the brides (fox news watching) parents and asking us if we felt safe going home from the restaurant. "Yeah we live like a 20ish minute walk from here and we do it all the time so we'll be fine, it doesn't really get too crazy around here," I say to them. "Oh, it's a good thing you don't live in Chicago, we've seen on the news how violent it is!" the mom says to me. "We're actually in Chicago right now! My license even says Chicago, Illinois!" I live close to Wrigley Field for reference. These boomers from Virginia tried to convince me since I don't live and work in the loop that it's not actually Chicago. So for that reason I will also vote just outside Chicago.

My mother in law thinks we’re going to die every time we go to Atlanta. I can’t imagine if we were going to Chicago.
