Hyperpop sounds like the music genre people create so they don’t have to admit they love pop.
(I freely admit to loving pop)
sorry but as much as I hate the term "hyperpop" this was the single most common criticism of PC Music when they first started emerging around 2014 or so and the one that has persisted the most since then, and the extensive work all those producers/artists have done with major label pop artists since then just consistently proves otherwise.
