Hey yinz, it's Secret Santa time again! I've been planning my travel to Seattle/Portland to visit inlaws for the holidays, and it occurred to me that it was time to fire this up again. This is to answer all questions about why it's going up 10 days before Halloween (though I will note that it went up before Halloween last year too - what can I say, I love the holidays).
INSTRUCTIONS:

Please answer the following questions in the email as well:
A. Are you willing to ship outside the US? B. Is there anyone you do NOT want to be assigned to? C. Do you plan on sending anonymously?
I will randomly assign a Secret Santa to everyone using a number generator. If there are special requests, I may make tweaks as necessary. If you wish to remain anonymous when sending, please let me know so you don't end up with my name.
2. Answer the questions below in a reply to this thread. Your Secret Santa once assigned will review those answers to determine what to give you. If you would rather not list your answers here in the thread, please do so in your email. We can make that work. And if you know of members on here who might not see this thread, tell them about it. The more the merrier!
3. Secret Santas will be given out on (or around) Sunday, November 20th. Once you've been assigned a person, check this thread, but PLEASE, DO NOT reveal who you have. OK? Deal. If you need me to fish for some ideas for your person, just let me know.
4. Please, let's try to ship all gifts by Friday, December 16th. Gifts DO NOT have to be purchased. Feel free to be creative and create or craft a gift. If you do intend on purchasing a gift, let’s try to keep it in the $20 range. Inflation has not come to inforoo dot com.
5. Don't be "that person". If you participate and are assigned as someone's Secret Santa, don't leave them without a gift. Please be prepared to participate if you e-mail me. That being said, bad things do happen, so if you have to drop out for some reason, please let me know so arrangements can be made.
6. Registration requirements: With personal information being handed out, there is no choice but to keep this somewhat secure. The threshold that was decided on in years past was a minimum of 500 posts AND/OR 2 years account activity. Should you not meet these requirements but still want to participate, please post in this thread and have someone vouch for you. In addition, participants must be in good standing with the moderator team.

1. What is your favorite genre of music? Weird and Jazz and Metal. Sometimes separate, sometimes together. Also a big fan of bubblegum pop.

1. What is your favorite genre of music? I'm mainly an indie rock guy. Also into a lot of psychedelic stuff, plus I've been getting into dance-rock, disco, nu-disco, etc., that sort of thing, lately.
2. What is your favorite musical artist? Pearl Jam. Also huge into MMJ, LCD Soundsystem, the National, Radiohead, TV on the Radio, A Tribe Called Quest

She's amazing and a lot of my life right now is dedicated to caring for her and trying to be the best possible dad. I'm a giant nerd for pop culture (big surprise on this site), but I find most "fandom," particularly in the sci-fi/fantasy space, toxic. I'm an atheist and a raging leftist, politically. I'm in the process of trying to write my first novel.
