We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I just saw two possums. They were ugly, but they are possums.
What an awful take. Possums are adorbs. We have a family of them that lives in our backyard. The first time Tyger saw one he freaked out. Now he likes to run up to them when they freeze and act like he is bigger than them (he's not) and stares at them inches away. No incidents have occurred as of yet, but I am also calling him right when it happens.
I have a friend that used to work for Audubon that takes them in and takes care of them. She posts tons of cute selfies with them. Also, the don't have rabies, that is an urban myth AND they eat fleas.

You having a family of them living in your yard does not change the fact that they are ugly - fugly even - creatures as most rat type rodents/rodent-marsupials tend to be. Chipmunks, squirrels and raccoons are the exceptions.
It's fine that people adopt and care for them, but it doesn't change the fact that they are some ugly motherfuckers. You can eat this awful take on french bread or in a fricassee:

Awww that little puddin face. They're just scared.
If I can get this raccoon in my backyard that I have been handfeeding to come in my house, you know this is about to be me. The opossum and feral cats only want me for my food. Won't even let me pet them. Fickle fuckers.
For real though. Raccoon fingers are so cute to touch. I want to paint their lil nails too. I want to touch those cute opossum fingers as well. I bet they feel the same. I have to work on my approach.
