How do jazz acts work with respect to rule 1? Like for instance is Herbie Hancock off the table if Miles Davis gets drafted because Herbie played in the Miles Davis Quintet? Or only if the Quintet specifically gets drafted

No, the only time members of bands are exclusive is if the solo act plays songs from the band they’re in.
For example, I think Jack White is ineligible (if White Stripes are drafted first) because he plays like 10 White Stripes songs a show. The only time jazz would really matter is if you try to pick Miles Davis Quintet after Miles Davis goes.

I still think this rule should be abolished, it doesn't really make a ton of sense
edit: like, you should be able to pick Big Boi even if Outkast has been taken since even though he plays Outkast cuts, he has his own distinct catalog. The only time I think this rule should be enforced is if multiple people try to take same iterations of essentially the same act, i.e. whether or not you take Neil Young, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, or Neil Young & Promise of the Real, "Neil Young" is off the board. I guess that's actually rule 13.

It makes sense with like Coltrane vs Coltrane Quartet but I don’t think it makes sense with Floyd vs Roger Waters or White Stripes vs Jack White

you should join this draft
yeah why not, it's been a while, and i have a very dumb idea that i can only really do in an infinity draft so im in

yeah, this is how i see it. Artists who were part of a group, who go solo and also play songs from their old group should still be eligible even if the group has been selected.

Nah the rules good. Tons of “Bob Dylan and the Dead” type acts were taken
In order to do a superjam, does every titular artist involved have to be available via the non-compete rules? Do they all have to be on your lineup in a separate form?

i dont believe this rule is constitutional and i shan't abide by it
