no they haven't, and we're still missing one for the year
Laminated Denim wouldn't even win an all-Gizzard bracket, much less album of the year. It's OK, it's decent enough, but Omnimum Gatherum is so much better than LD.

disagree on your last point! OG is bloated and has a few really mid tracks on it

But Dripping Tap is one of the best songs Gizz have ever written.
Fuck. You got me. Great take. What was I thinking.
Meh. Idk. I feel like it's a great song, but the cheer length of the cut makes it larger than it is, imo. The first 5-7 minutes are great, but it kinda drags a bit after the mid-point of the song.

But that guitar freakout is amazing.
The Dripping Tap, although not prog rock in the traditional sense, has a very prog-like structure. It's a suite, moving from one section to another.

Different strokes. I eat up those long heavy tracks ever since Mind Fuzz. I never get bored with them and Dripping Tap is just a fantastic start to a great record. Especially live, it just kills.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
