I think the questions/points are:
1. Fruit vendor is a town role 2. Does the vendor give fruit at night? During the day? Whenever, to a limit (1 per night/day total, 1 each, etc) It makes sense that the vendor can give fruit at night. If the vendor is the whack, does their fruit still get delivered? 3. When does the ref tell the recipient they received fruit? I think at the beginning of the next day, but the previous question about fruit delivery if whacked still exists. 4. What are the specifications for giving fruit - specify a type of fruit, a number? Is it just a banana, or a bunch of bananas?
What do you think is the best way? Just PM someone they have a fruit at the start of the day?
i think it should actually be public maybe? I think private fruit vendor would be pretty powerful for town and town has won a lot lately
How would it work to be public? I was thinking it would be private but handled by the ref. So vendor says to ref "give x to y", and then (at the beginning of the next day) ref informs recipient they have received whatever fruit.

yeah im not really sure what a public display of it would do. just add a cute element haha but no utility that I can think of?
or Capital Cincy do you just mean that the announcement of fruit delivery would be public/in thread but the identity of the fruit vendor would remain private, as would the message to the ref about who to send it to?
i also think it is important we clarify that the fruit vendor is allowed to gift themselves fruit. having that option lends towards more ways to keep the identity well hidden.

It sounds anonymous like inspector so the ref would handled. One fruit per person at night, but the fruit vendor doesn’t know any roles, so it seriously doesn’t mean anything.

i dont think it mean nothing.
yeah they dont have roles confirmed, but im guessing most fruit vendors would opt to deliver fruit to people they suspect may be town. or, conversely, they might gift fruit to someone they're sus on to see how they react to receiving it, etc.
i like the notion of this role because on the surface it seems just cute n silly, but i think there are actually impactful ways it could be played. we shall see.

Yeah I'm thinking it could be good either private or public. Bc if vendor tried to absolve themselves by saying they gave fruit to certain people, maf could lie about it. Or maf could come out as fruit etc. We'd know fruit was exiled when fruit stopped being given, etc. Fun addition
