Marc Rebilet seems to be a big deal on Youtube more than anywhere else (gotta factor in more than just Spotify) I can see him filling the Sahara, if not for his actual music, just for his energetic personality rocking the crowd

oh, friend, they literally stormed the warehouse for Charli it was a shit show.
Eh. They "stormed" the warehouse because it was an enormous structure with multiple massive openings (like, for trucks) but were trying to force people to go in through a single-file line after going through a winding entrance fence despite there being almost no one inside. I got in (by pushing past the guards at the opening) and by the end the warehouse was like half full. I never felt crowded in there. (And as an aside, the acoustics/setup in there was awful, so I'm planning on trying to see her again)
I mean, she's definitely popular and will definitely pull a crowd, but the Warehouse at Portola was just an unforced fuckup on the part of the organizers.
Charli is another artist that has a potential long list of extremely Coachella appropriate guests. She's gonna have a really good crowd unless she gets absolutely shafted by conflicts, but I don't see that happening.
Prydz Holo is on here, do they have indoor stages or is it all outdoor?
Looking at this lineup only reinforces how many missed opportunities for the Yuma there were this year. surely it wouldn’t have killed Goldenvoice to book Dikke Baap or PBH Jack & Shizzle?!?
I feel like this suggestion won't go over that well here, but Charli also feels over-billed to me. Looking at the venues she plays, she's not really a bigger draw than Carly Rae Jepsen, who was on the 4th line and played the Mojave during the day last year; I don't recall hearing horror stories about the line to get into her set in the Warehouse at Portola, though I could just have missed that. Is she really that much bigger then when she was near the end of the third line on the 2020 poster? Google trends suggests not. Spotify's not loading for me right now so I can't check that.
All of this to say: I think she can go a lot of places. 6pm on the main, Mojave, Outdoor. The bigger issue with her to me is that the main is super pop-heavy this evening, and avoiding overlap with all three of our top acts for her seems wise.
oh, friend, they literally stormed the warehouse for Charli it was a shit show.
that set was not actually that packed. this was mostly just cause by clueless security and residual crowd from Fred Again.., I think she could fit in Mojave fine. would be a much better show at a packed mojave than a semi filled sahara.
^^^^^^^ I was only in the warehouse for pinkpantheress, fred, and bicep but it looked like a shitshow near the entry point nearly every time I was within that area, if Portola comes back hope they work it out for that stage.

Hardest conflict would be Underworld /Sunset Rollercoaster That Saturday day time is boring for my tastes. I would find a day party and show up late Even though it’s only 5 mins I don’t see Willow conflicting with Frank at all! If this stands I would camp the whole hour for Frank cause nothing else would be worth moving for
Aren't the Chems at 10pm kind of early to close the Outdoor? Friday, the Outdoor is usually active during the headliner right? You could push them back to start 11:30 and fit in another set on the Outdoor imo
Interesting that Boris Brejcha is billed on Tomorrowland as "Boris Brejcha in Concert"... No clue what that means (although i'd assume some orchestral component) and Google isn't really helping at all. Seems like something Coachella would try to have on the fields as well. If this were the case, I would say let's take Boris out of the Yuma and put Romy in. Romy played the Warehouse at Portola on Saturday and then played the Palms at CRSSD the next day. Unless Romy has some cool, new visuals added to her set, she just seems more likely for Yuma than early-ish Gobi. But I don't know exactly how we'd want to change the times of the Gobi then because an early Boris Brejcha also feels odd. And then, I think we should swap Jai Wolf and Big Wild. Big Wild is objectively more popular than Jai Wolf and I say that as someone that actually likes Jai Wolf's music much more than Big Wild's.

We could, but doesn't seem likely. Outdoor closers typically don't have more than 10-20 minutes overlap with main, at best. King Gizzard seems to be an outlier, so excluding them, Justice and A Perfect Circle are the only Outdoor Closers in recent years that had a 30+ minute overlap with Coachella stage and both were on Sunday. Given that Bad Bunny's shows typically run close to 3 hours but his Coachella set will undoubtedly be shorter, starting him at 11, and the Chem Bros at 10, with maybe 20-30 minutes of overlap seems perfectly fine.
Wow Saturday night currently is my worst case scenario. BLACKPINK vs Dinner Party vs Chromeo, and some of them conflicting with Prydz who in turn directly conflicts with Labrinth, is like...are you fucking kidding me. Throw in Charli vs Underworld on top of that. I mean there is no way around the conflict pain for my tastes on this particular day but this is comical. I don't think I'd be able to see everything I wanted on Saturday even if I pulled a bothchella.
are yall just taking the haitus/rosalia confirmation seriously cause it's so random? that seems like the oddest possible piece of info for someone to know.
King Gizz was probably supposed to close the outdoor between Harry and SHM and shit just changed and made the times weird
Totally. 2022 was a weird year due to Ye dropping out less than 2 weeks before the fest so we should really not look to 2022 for reference. Bad Bunny is getting a 2 hour set at minimum. Outdoor closers typically start 50-70 minutes before main. The "extreme" circumstance (using that term very loosely) will be Chem Bros starting outdoor at 10:30 and getting a 90 minute set. Which honestly, perfectly fine for my interests. Blondie > Food/Gobi/Mojave > Gorillaz > Chem Bros > End of Bad Bunny is a great Friday for me.
The Sahara on Friday looks so weird to me. There's no denying that we have so few acts on Friday this year and that's probably affecting it, but going from 11 poster acts starting at 1:15 to eight starting at 3:00...and Ashnikko, I just can't remotely see that. Even Uncle Waffles is an anomaly enough that could easily play the Yuma were it not so full. I would put Whyte Fang in a cannon fodder against the headliner spot in Sahara before putting Ashnikko there, and even though I think he'll play a different stage, Tobe over Ashnikko also. Finally are we so sure the Chem Bros aren't in play for the Sahara?

I can't believe we're still going with that while Prydz liking a tweet that says he's playing the Outdoor is repeatedly ignored lol

Coachella could release the set times with Prydz on the Outdoor instead of the Mojave and people here would think it’s a printing error.

yeah we only have 3 slam-dunk Sahara acts this day: Dombresky, Two Friends, and Malaa (with a fourth very likely in Nora). Metro and Vintage Culture could both play in there, but could easily play elsewhere. Uncle Waffles and Ashnikko are both stretches to try and fill up this day somehow.
We should consider closing the Sahara early against Bad Bunny, given the lack of obvious Sahara acts on this day, lack of poster acts on this day, and the fact that Bad Bunny is the biggest headliner. I really don't think they're going to have all three tents going past midnight, and Sahara would be the obvious crowd to move over to Bad Bunny's set anyway. The way the day is booked seems like further evidence of that.
