Was rail for Kacey, left for other stuff. Moved up during Janelle and was a couple rows back of the Catwalk where Gambino pretty much stayed at for 90% of the show so I was pretty happy about that call.
You missed the best set of the weekend?? (Anderson) But yeah 2019 was special lol
Man is a PERFORMER. Get Silk Sonic headliner please.
So I guess not EVERYTHING booked at Sound HAS to play the Yuma then, huh?
no, doesn't appear to be the case, which is good to know for future years. I was wrong. At the same time, it still wasn't ridiculous to consider or suggest that artists billed for "7 days of Framework" events just might go into the Yuma
Vintage Culture is obviously not much of a surprise but if Jamie Jones and Lewis OfMan are getting thrown in the Sahara on this day, that makes me wonder if just Sahara Friday is going to lean electronic over rap or if that will be a trend this year and we'll see some rappers elsewhere. Like, EARTHGANG, Suicideboys, Eladio out, Underworld, Yaeji, 2manydjs in. That sort of thing. We certainly don't need DOECHII or Pusha T in the Sahara anymore.
Plus on Friday specifically if Lewis OfMan and Jamie Jones made the cut, there really is no reason why SG Lewis, Maceo Plex, Idris Elba, etc couldn't...not that they will, of course, but they could. Nora En Pure could go back in there as well if Sound is not necessarily as iron clad as it used to be.
So for Friday, we gotta move two artists out of the Sahara? My vote would be Ashnikko somewhere else and Uncle Waffles in the Yuma.
We already moved Ashnikko out (the template mocks are outdated, have had issues updating them) check the clashfinders for the most recent updates (still need to update things with the latest confirmations).
Interpol & The Walkmen 11.23 I Am Morbid/Suffocation 11.26 King Diamond 11.29 Sadistic Intent/Massacre 11.30 70K Tons Of Metal 2025 Hell's Heroes 2025 Sick New World 2025 Maryland Deathfest 2025

Move Nora out and Maceo back into the Yuma. We saw several DJ sets last year with no break between sets. I like having Lewis OfMan open the Sahara and then 3-4 B2B sets in the Sahara for an hour each with no break between sets.
Something like Dombresky - Vintage - Nora - Jamie from like 2:30 to 6:30 just rolling in the Sahara.
$B, Rae Sremmurd, and one of GloRilla or Latto are the only hiphop acts that scream Sahara or bust to me this year. Metro, Tobe, and one of Glo/Latto should be outside imo. I could see Pusha on Outdoor if he's not in the Mojave. Everyone else works in Mojave/Gobi. I'm sure someone else like Kenny or EARTHGANG will be Sahara bound but they work in the Mojave. And we'll probably get some very early day hiphop outside like a Saba, IDK, or Noname etc.
