Is there a reason to not be hopeful that bad bunny/chem bros will be a tame/bassnectar situation?
I may be way off on this but I think the Tame/BASSNECTAR/Cudi situation was more of a "Solange dropped and we aren't moving anybody else to the main stage" situation. I bet BASSNECTAR was supposed to play between Solange and Tame, then Solange drops, Tame starts when she was supposed to start and BASSNECTAR gets switched around to play after Tame ends. This is pure conjecture but I think that was why that was so weird.

Also Bad Bunny is probably going to play 30-45 minutes longer than Tame did, and Chemical Brothers are going to play at least 20 minutes longer than BASSNECTAR did. Of all the days to have that kind of scheduling happen again, this Friday is the least likely. But you'll also catch plenty of both sets if you split them.
2. At least 2 of the Mojave, Gobi, and Sahara will be silent from 12-1
3. Chem Bros in the Sahara
I definitely think DOMi & JD will play at night. They will have a lot of guests. Anderson .Paak is almost guaranteed to play with them. Thundercat is most likely too. They have a strong support system with that circle of musicians.
New Rae Sremmurd song is very dancey. I think their set will be extremely fun.
GV must get an early listen or somehow get an early read on material coming out for these artists right? I find it hard to believe that they just blindly decided Rae Sremmurd was going to be one of the biggest rap acts they book without having some inkling that their new material would be a hit.

I am sure this happens but also I think 2020 artists were told they could come back - most chose 2022 but a few are back this year too. Honestly I am sure it helped GV save a lot of $ they may have owed them for canceling a contract. I just think Swae Lee cashed in his opportunity.

Rae’s album will not be a hit lmao. All their singles have flopped with no noise lol. It’ll be a great nostalgia set but 80% of the people there won’t want to hear the new album

Thundercat might be bouncing around a bunch, I think he'll most likely be there with Gorillaz too.

While I certainly don't think it's impossible for Domi and JD Beck to end up at night, I don't really see them as cannon-fodder, which on Friday begins when the Gorillaz start at around 8:30 PM. I think acts like Anderson, Thundercat, and possibly even Snoop would have no issues being there for the end of their set around 6:30 (where we currently have them).
Can we make Jai Paul and Weyes Blood not conflict so I can get some rest between now and wk2 pls
What's the best way we could do this? I don't think Weyes will be on at the same time as Kali, Bjork, or Frank either, but moving her earlier also seems wrong.

the obvious way to me is to play with the stage closing times. I seriously doubt Gobi/Mojave/Sahara all have acts playing in the last hour of the festival. At least one of those will be closed.
also Big Wild in the Gobi would never work, and it doesn’t make a ton of sense to conflict him with Jai Wolf. He seems very likely to be in the Sahara. Get DPR squared into Gobi, Big Wild into Sahara, move someone in the Sahara to the Outdoor (3:45 is really late to have the Outdoor start), and bump the Mojave 20 minutes later. That should give the space needed (maybe a Romy/Weyes Blood swap would play better for conflicts?)
