I continue to think we should have a light Friday against Bad Bunny. I think Metro is done around midnight if not before and it’s mostly silent against Bad Bunny, and we get two or two and a half Gobi/Mojave acts total during Bad Bunny. He’s the biggest artist on the planet right now.

The Garden and Whyte Fang seem like good counter programming for the Gobi and Mojave.
This version of Friday absolutely blows for me. Comet Is Coming / Pusha conflict, Wet Leg / Mag Bay / Domi + JD conflict, Blondie / TV Girl / Overmono conflict, and nothing of interest after the Chemical Brothers. None of those conflicts are necessarily unlikely, but it would suck to just be done before midnight on day one. Really hoping we get something like The Comet Is Coming closing out the Gobi or Mojave if we're not getting Overmono then.
Based on the other stuff you want to see I can understand this pain. I’m trying to think of what potential act would work for you after Chems. Whyte Fang no interest? What if it was Domi and JD Beck? Any chance they close a tent against Bad Bunny? I’m trying to think of who at this festival doesn’t want to see Bad Bunny.

Honestly I do want to see some Bad Bunny, I just know that by the time Chemical Bros end it's going to be insanely crowded, and it's tough to connect with an act when you're halfway across the festival from them (especially if you're not already a big fan). Though I did just remember I'm doing VIP this year for the first time, so that beer garden viewing area might make it work out pretty great. Domi + JD is a bit more chill than I'd want. Whyte Fang didn't really hit the spot when I gave her a shot. Honestly, I don't think there's anything I'd like more than The Comet Is Coming or Overmono; Yves Tumor might come close if they're not in a foul mood from playing against a headliner; I'd hit up Idris Elba if for some reason he was then. Not sure who else reasonably might be playing in the final hour.
Ultimately this would be a big first world problems type of issue - you give me Blondie, Gorillaz, Chemical Bros, and a virtual guarantee that the rest of the day will have something at all times I'm interested in, and I'm gonna be thrilled even if I end spending a little time checking out art, catching a half hour of Bunny, and taking a Ferris Wheel ride lol.

I’m in the same boat in that if that day I see blondie > gorillaz > Chems I’ll consider that one of the best 1,2,3 festival runs. I enjoyed what I saw of Bad Bunny in 2019 and it absolutely seems like a good VIP act for me where it doesn’t matter if you’re in a perfect spot and you can have a drink and watch.
Billboard on the way to Coachella confirms Boygenius for Outdoor Theater at night
Put Boygenius where Kid Laroi is and just space out the timing so the main is silent during their set between Rosalia and BLACKPINK. Move Kid Laroi to the Sahara and have him play against a mostly silent main in between BLACKPINK and Calvin.

Who are other past artists they cleared the schedule for? Dr. Dre & Snoop Beyonce
anyone else? Does Bad Bunny stack up against these acts?

I think those are the only two they've really cleared out the last hour of the festival for entirely. 2019 Saturday was pretty sparse with basically three acts going for the last hour (depending on when Tame ended, which I can't recall).
I'm not sure Bunny will get the full shutdown treatment like Beyonce and Dre/Snoop - I get he's the biggest artist on the planet but he's just played to like 225k people in LA the last year, compared with a couple of one-off special performances. Harry Styles had five other acts going on at the same time he was on.
