Lol yeah, I like Arcade Fire a thousand times more than Blink but there is absolutely no scenario where Blink fits in the mojave the way AF did. Especially not for their first reunion show.
who exactly of the current artists on the lineup bring out the blink demo
You'd be surprised how far name recognition and perceived specialness go at a festival.

Two Friends, honestly/sadly.
But more than that: they're simply a bigger draw in general. Arcade Fire doesn't even really play arenas anymore and when they do, they don't sell them out. Blink is playing two shows at Banc of California Stadium where floor seats are $280 and the cheapest seats generally are $177. At this moment - perhaps in part because of the reunion, but nonetheless - they're a much, much bigger draw.

A freshly reformed, enormous legacy act with songs about California and summer and boobs and teenagers? And their drummer is part of the Kardashian universe? Coachella is a weirdly perfect place for them to kick things back into gear at this point in their career regardless of who else is playing.

Lol. This is like asking who in seattle likes Nirvana.
It’s southern cal. It’s Blink 182. That’s all you need.

So Saturday and Sunday are both definitely starting at least two hours earlier than our predictions start.
going to continue to toot the "less acts late at night than we think" horn
Agreed, plus some bigger gaps between acts than we've accounted for. In 2019, the Mojave was shut down by 11:15 Friday and 10:35 Saturday (which, to be clear, I think is stupid and don't like), and the Gobi was shut down by 10:40 Sunday. We have both the Gobi and Mojave going until close to midnight all three days.
