if W2 gets a surprise Blur or LCD Soundsystem show in place of Blink 182 I assume most would be satisfied with that yea?
Honestly, if we get *any* headliner-type act I'll be satisfied, even if I don't care about that act. But Blur or LCD would be the best (Blur seems super unlikely - I can't see Damon pulling double duty in a 3 hour window). I'd be happy with Beck too, since I'm guessing he'll be there with Gorillaz anyway. I would also love SZA, especially since they've got her held as the Frank Ocean backup anyway.
I've only been to W2 once in 2015 when I went on just Sunday so I'm not 100% sure what to expect.
Given that it's not sold out and there's still rooms available at a lot of hotels nearby, I think it might be really cool vibes this year, less crowded than w1 and all the kinks worked out or whatever.

the W2 vibezzzz thing has always been incredibly overblown to me, having done both. it definitely runs smoother and is a bit less crowded, but the crowd is pretty much the same IME

Yeah, there was no real vibe difference to me. I think complaints about Coachella crowds are generally overblown, but my friends who went last year for the first time (W2) still made the "so many influencers!" complaint (because god forbid people take pictures at a huge event like this). The crowds felt essentially the same to me. It also felt similarly crowded, to be honest.
The dust was definitely worse, at least to start, but I do recall the grass being mostly gone by saturday W1 anyway. The festival was DEFINITELY better run weekend 2, almost zero sets starting late, no big lines or frustrations, etc.

It’s nothing to do with vibes, it’s just a better run festival W2, and typically less crowded
I've always been partial to 1st weekend just because I hate waiting and like to be surprised. This year for myriad reasons, it's W2 or nothing so I'm excited to see if there's actually a noticeable difference in feel.

A lot of issues do get solved W2 but what people forget is there are problems at sets W2 that didn’t exist W1. Also I didn’t get to see beabadoobee so fuck W2 lmaooo
So many artists have said W2’s crowd is better but if we’re being honest that’s like how Lewis Hamilton tells the crowd at every race that they are amazing and the best crowd. Probably just to hype them up.
The real key is that it runs like a dream. If there’s an issue with W1, it’s completely fixed W2.
Friend of a friend says Blink 6pm in Sahara on Friday.
Hey look this was pretty much correct. Shout out my friend of a friend
Ask your friend to ask their friend about W2. And then ask your friend's friend to tell your friend to tell you if they know what the plan is for that time W2.
