No they confirmed themselves for the Yuma not Sonora, but on the mock schedule they're in the Sonora lol. Sorry if my message was confusing.
Oh shiz wait lol I didn't even realize. That's.....weird.
Weird irony, Ela Minus was in the Sonora last year. The most ill-fitting stylistic booking they've ever had by far. The "minus" connection is funny, cause Minus the Light also doesn't seem to fit the usual style either, though definitely closer
Thoughts on Tobe Nwigwe being outside? I think his stage production needs it. I could see Tobe -> Becky G -> Burna Boy -> Gorillaz -> Bad Bunny on main
Gonna have to start things earlier though. I know some stageshavent started til after 2 but theres still some consistency with having music even from 12:30 and onward
Interpol & The Walkmen 11.23 I Am Morbid/Suffocation 11.26 King Diamond 11.29 Sadistic Intent/Massacre 11.30 70K Tons Of Metal 2025 Hell's Heroes 2025 Sick New World 2025 Maryland Deathfest 2025
I think she was confirmed for Sahara for one of the covid/cancelled lineups. could kinda see her moving to gobi this time but it's hard to guess without hearing what her debut album is like.

Yaeji in Gobi or Mojave makes sense to me. She has a live show with live dancers now. Not nearly as interesting as her early days of DJing with live vocals, but it's still an excuse to see her.
I don't think any of Yaeji, Mura Masa, Yung Lean will play Sahara. I know Lean is a "rapper" but he's really not the same vibe as the rappers that play Sahara. seems perfect for night time Mojave/Gobi.

Outside of the Yuma, most acts that start before 2 are acts that were not on the poster.

I don't see how we could move three acts out of the Sahara without moving three in. The only act that could make sense to move in would be Marc Rebillet.
Odds that Underworld plays the Gobi instead of Mojave? That could possibly free up some room to move things around a bit, even though I think Mojave makes more sense for them.

0% chance Underworld is in the Gobi. It’s the only multi genre stage that’s impossible for them

how packed was underworld the last time they played?

Edit: this screams gobi to me
She also mentioned bringing an entire new show I saw on social media the other day.
Jackson Wang just announced a couple us dates at arenas, I think he will be on Outdoor or Main
How many acts on the poster play arenas? Seems substantial. I was taken aback to discover Diljit Dosanjh played arenas last year when I looked for live vids. Chem Bros played an arena in Denver (prob shouldn't have, but still did). Burna Boy did. Bjork did. Jackson Wang now. Rosalia didn't, but will next time. Just feels like we have a lot of arena-or-bigger acts on this lineup.

I missed them last time, but the footage I watched recently made it look decently full but definitely not packed.
Also, after seeing Yaeji at Portola I definitely do not think she will be in the Yuma.

Underworld is more likely to play the Gobi than the Sahara but they are for sure playing Mojave imo. Put them before Prydz and the Mojave will be full for both sets.
