I hate surf punk but not as much as I hate the actual Surf Punks who weren't really surf punk. if you don't know them, see how long you can stand to listen to Somebody Ripped My Stick before turning it off or throwing something.
Like I said when the lineup dropped, DP is loud and play a hybrid rock-punk-y sound live. People were going fairly nuts at their show at Hangout back in 2014 I think it was almost like a hardcore show from back when. But despite all the guitars and fuzz, the musicianship wasn't really up to par for me. As noted, 2 chord city.
