those are pretty much experimental fests more than anything anyway.
Say what you want about GY!BE but I draw a line at saying those festivals are “experimental”.
"Roadburn grew into a major event spanning the entire spectrum of heavy rock and experimental music." "ArcTanGent Festival (also known as ATG) is a three-day British rock festival held annually at Fernhill Farm in Somerset, England since 2013. It is the most popular British summer festival for math rock, post rock, progressive metal and experimental music."

Roadburn is a metal festival. Many many of the bands that are in this draft have played there. Some have even curated it. Not saying that’s a reason to include GY!BE but to say that it’s more experimental than metal isn’t a really true assessment of the situation.
ATG is British and Jesus GOD I could care less about that festival.
GY!BE has played a metal festival on this side of the pond too. Psycho in 2019.

from the first line of Roadburn's own website "Unrestricted by genre, Roadburn has an underground ethos that is coupled with big-league production"

I get what you’re saying, I do.
They’ve expanded the sound and scope of the festival. You can’t continually book the same bands without putting yourself in a corner. It’s not a sustainable model. Roadburn has branched out and booking acts are likeminded. Is it heavy? Yes. Is it metal? Not always. It’s only kin in spirit.

GYBE is literally the reason the "spirit of the game" exception was written into the rules. I can still run a poll if y'all want but I know how I'm voting.

I don't really care, mostly giving him shit for doing it 2 drafts in a row. And for saying drone is a subgenre of noise, GL needs to learn that kid better.

I was 100% taking Carti with my next pick, too.
Truth be told, this was my pick. I didn’t follow the last one but I was pretty sure this would go to a poll.
Hmmm. I thought of Carti more as a rap act. Maybe I was a bit off on that assumption.
Carti b2b Korn would have been the hardest thing ever of Bonnaroo history we were so close to getting that.
Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely are cool but Carti is arguable the best Punk and top 10 metal act in the world right now. It's kinda cool that hiphop fests book him.
