If this means no Bon Iver Boston show I’ll be fuming
im gonna go on the Bon iver day if theres no other date/no osheaga but i am def hoping we get another new england date at least because marthas vinyard has the most expensive lodging in NE by far. And idk if its possible to leave the island after the HL
Went to this last year (was able to crash at a friend's place). Definitely want the bus tickets/passes if we go again. the fest is right near the boats if you are going for one day. pretty chill for the Vinyard.

Ok never been but I'm super interested. Do they do single-day passes for this? I forget if they do. And yeah...is needing a hotel required/how late does this run?

last year it went to 8pm. we left Sunday night and there was plenty of time to get on the boat.
haven't been before but always a fan of the lineup. this one seems particularly strong, and adding a third day makes it feel more worth the trip. not sure if i'll get friends interested enough to commit, and i wouldn't go alone, so we'll see how it goes. curious about just how expensive it is to stay out there for the weekend and if that ends up being a dealbreaker

Not sure about this year, but last year there were deals where your lodging included tickets. Something in the $300 per night range, inclusive of ticket. Can't remember if that included 1 or 2 tickets.
We went last year and had a great time. Based on the first 12 bands announced, we’re excited to return. Last year there were 30 bands originally listed, and no conflicts (side-by-side stages). Headliners ended between 8:30 and 9 but a small third stage provided bonus music from local bands after the headliners. My long-winded review:

I think i’m def doing a day of this. what website did u use for the ferry? and what time did u arrive at and leave the island?

The beach road site did a great job gathering information. But the boat site is www.vineyardferries.com/
edit we got there on Friday and left on Sunday at 8:30pm I think they ran an extra boat during the fest.
I'm loosely involved in the production on this one and I can verify that logistics and onsite issues should be much smoother this year. Last year there was a bunch of first year behind the scenes hurdles to figure out.
Jeez are tickets way more expensive this year? I got mine last summer on Stubhub for a fraction of the current face value; seeing the last GA tier at $625 made me literally do a double take. That's insane.

MV is a one percenter vacation destination and they got way bigger acts. not surprised
Tickets were $325 for GA if you were on the email list. They’re at $400 now- same as a “cheap” seat for one night of Bruce Springsteen. If they get to $600, that means they’re in short supply and Ticketmaster is doing their thing. The early bird festival price isn’t way out of line, but lodging and ferry prices do make this a pricey affair. It’s best to book lodging early, go with a group, camp, or commute on the ferry.
Our friend was as able to get a ticket right before the fest for cheap. But you need the place to stay. There are off island locations but that’s a lot of time on a boat. There is also a campground on mv but is also pricey.
