I think both of these teams are probably top 4. If one is the other one has to be because both games were so close.
No way should a two loss team make a four team playoff when potentially a one loss Georgia or Texas could be left out. The games have to matter and Oregon lost to Washington twice.
So there can still be 2 more upsets. Is Washington gonna end up at #1 by default cause theyre undefeated? Even if just FSU loses what do you with all of this.

If FSU loses and Michigan wins it's pretty easy Michigan Washington Texas Alabama
Liberty is about to make a new years six bowl without having any quality wins. I would hope the committee would select SMU but it doesn't seem likely since they aren't even ranked.
If FSU beats Louisville, the Texas-Alabama debate is about to get toxic af
If only these two had like played each other and the road team had a convincing win so there can be little debate over which is better when they end up with the same record

Recency bias says hello. What if somebody beat the current number 1 team in the country at home.

What if that team that was ranked #1 wasn’t really that good?

I think very little separates Alabama and Texas so head to head should be a major factor. Also Bama was super close to losing last week to a mid Auburn team while Texas has been blowing teams out lately

If they win like 6-3 there's going to be a lot of pressure on the committee for Florida state to be left out. It would basically be Michigan-Iowa part 2 with how bad Florida State's offense is now and that's not good for ratings

something tells me you haven't actually watched Alabama play this season, or ever seen an Iron Bowl in Jordan Hare. That stadium is a hellish place, built entirely for fluke results. We've blown out just as many teams since week 2 as Texas.

I've watched plenty of Alabama games this season and including when they only beat USF 6-3. Also Texas beat you by 10 in Tuscaloosa. If only one of the two teams gets in it should be Texas.

I don't even necessarily disagree with the end point about "should", but I really don't understand why you're straight up lying about the score of the USF game, which ended 17-3
sang_xcx do you have that same energy for Georgia and Alabama also maybe both being top 4 teams jw
Depends on how the game goes.
So what exactly could have happened in the game that would have led you to believe that both are top four teams? Seems like Alabama winning a close game is exactly the outcome that would hint at this. Instead now you're claiming Georgia was never that good? Interesting.
