Let’s just rotate the championship every 32 years so every team gets to be Champion an equal amount. No reason to keep up the charade anymore, competition is an afterthought.
Nobody has any problem with giving the teams with the worst records the advantage of having the first few picks in the draft. If it makes sense to create advantages for teams in this tier, why not also create dynasty-buster rules to help teams that are knocking on the door get to the next level, just like the first pick in the draft can help a cellar dweller take a step up?

There is another product in the broader sports entertainment mbrella that is more what you are pining for. There are longstanding storylines, predetermined outcomes, and ways for the good guys to "finish their story" (sometimes). Not only are their "heels" to boo and "babyfaces" to cheer, the product itself doesn't leave any ambiguity as to who's who. You should give it a try.

No, you should root for the team that's never won a ring, or hasn't won one in decades. The 49'ers hadn't won it all since 1995, so their fans deserved the celebration more, especially those too young to remember the Montana/Young years.
So, of course, the recently ring rich got even richer last night because the NFL just doesn't get it. I'm in favor of what I call "Three Ring Rules." When you win three championships within a 10 year time frame, that triggers a series of rules designed to weaken your team and enable others to rise:
*You forfeit all first and second round draft picks and can't trade up into those rounds.
*During the offseason, you are only allowed to sign free agents thirty days after all teams not subject to the rule are able to sign them. That lets every other team make their best offers to all free agents, including those who had been playing for you.
*You have a lower salary cap than every team not subject to three ring rules.
*Scheduling will be manipulated to add extra obstacles. You'll play the strongest competition on short rest, and get your bye week right before playing a team that's expected to be among the weakest on your schedule.
After the 10th anniversary of the first of your three clustered championships, the team will have won only two championships in the previous ten seasons and the rules are lifted.
Draft order is set to help the teams with the worst records in the previous season become more competitive. These rules, similarly, are designed to help strong teams get past dynasty teams by making it tougher for a team to win a fourth championship within a relatively short period of time. No player or coach is ever asked to give anything less than 100% and no ref is encouraged to call any game unfairly; these rules simply add measures of disadvantage designed to make it tougher to get that fourth and fifth ring soon after the previous three.
Face it, no matter what team you root for in any particular sport, most people love to see the long-time also ran finally make the dream come true for their fans. Some of the most inspiring moments in sports in the last 20 years have been when teams finally ended long championship droughts, whether it was the Red Sox, White Sox, and Cubs winning their first World Series since the early 1900's or the Cavs, Mavs, and Saints winning their first championships ever.

Yeah knowing exactly what you need to do in order to tie or beat the team that gets the ball first is a big advantage. But if both teams are tied after they’re first possessions, the it’s a huge advantage for the team that gets the ball first
