The Midland Jamboree will be a three-day, three-stage, BYOB music festival and will be a huge party in a Texas Kind of Way. Never been to Midland? Oh, That's Right, You're Not From Texas. Well lucky for you, it'll be Three Days to enjoy this city and a great music festival. The fest will be held in Hogan Park, unfortunately, not Down By The River. A Watters Festival production, lead talent buyer Andrew Watters said, "This will be Written in Stone as a premier texas country festival in the next few years. We have a solid blend of up-and-comers and bands and artists that are Coming Back Around for the first time in a while." The full lineup is set to be revealed later this afternoon. Everyone is welcome, from people born the Son of a Sinner or people from a Temporary Town.

Superjam: Jeff Tweedy and Billy Bragg present the Mermaid Avenue Band. Performing the unfinished songs of Woody Guthrie included in the collaborative Mermaid Avenue project. Between Bragg and Uncle Tupelo, I have 4 out of the 5 credited musicians who made the album, and the late Jay Bennett will be replaced by Jeff Chimenti. Additional vocals provided by Mavis Staples.
