Was gunning for quicker rounds since I'm doing Big Ears this weekend. Plan was to end at 10am, but we can move slower. Will do about 24 hour first rounds and 12-18hour subsequent rounds.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
I was trying to even it back up for someone to move off potent but I'm fine with this

only thing i really see here of potential significance is that he moved off durkle onto pink then back onto durkle, "trying to even it back up for someone to move off potent." this could very easily just have been Helpful Townie trying to get the runoff in better shape, but it is the only thing that sticks out to me as something maf potentially could've seen and thought either: 1) he might have potent's name, so he wants to see who/if anyone moves off him to get him out of hot water, or 2) he has the name of someone else in the runoff (durkle or pink)
potent is dead so it makes sense to pursue the possibility of #2 right now IMO

We obviously don't know what he is, and neither does he because he hasn't been online since the game started, but I don't want to jump to conclusions and risk being down one townie right out of the gate even if he is late to the game.

this should be like pink / durkle / market or samp or farris or cincy imo. market/samp probably before cincy/farris because the former two have weirder reasons for their d2 votes. but i really dont get the arguments for dan or cum proceeding here

MD if inspo could've equally likely been moving around like that to see whether someone came in to try and save potent (given) OR to gauge movement relating to his given, another person in the runoff (pink or durkle). so im just not really sure why farris narrowed it down like this.

Your arguments seem to rest on the idea that MD was inspector, but we don't know that. What if MD was just regular old town? His movements don't necessarily imply anything about who is mafia if he isn't inspector. Maf could have just killed him because he was moving around a lot and figured it was worth a shot to assume he might be inspector. As I mentioned before, my point isn't that I definitely think that cum is mafia. Unlike you, I just don't feel like I have enough info to make firm accusations and need to do something to get more info.

right - i think it could very much instead point to pink or durkle, in that MD could've been gauging what movement around one of them could occur in that 3-way runoff, and potent is only relevant in that he was in that runoff with them. i dont really see another thing to pull from the MD whack; im not going to go down the lame path that some people are by using logic like, "well he put his initial vote on cum, so thats where the whack points."

my arguments rest on the notion that mafia thinks MD could very well be inspo. i have no clue whether he was or not, but all town knows rn is that mafia whacked him for some reason: either because of something he did/said or for misdirection. as town i only go to thinking of the latter for my d2 vote if i feel like theres absolutely nothing to work off of for the former (e.g. something the whack did or said). we do have something to work from: see post reply to dan just now.
as for me: where are my firm accusations? am genuinely curious where/when i firmly accused anyone of anything; ive pointed out who i think should be in the runoff instead of dan/cum, for reasons ive made clear.
