we used to do video chat rooms for this thing, but i don't think rabbit exists anymore. any suggestions for a live chat, or should we just plan to keep everything in here?

Not gonna lie…one of my favorite weekends of the year is posting up on my couch, maintaining a steady buzz, and playing Couchella at an inappropriate volume

Do streams stick around at all or is it a case of if you want to see it you have to watch live?
Sometimes you can rewind up to x point on a channel while it’s still running through. But sometimes when it restarts or starts the new day you can’t go back. The article quoted in webcast thread when they announced the 6 stages said that there would be some individual shows available.
For the first time, the festival will be live on YouTube across all six stages on both weekends starting April 14 at 4:00 p.m. PT and continuing on April 21 at the same time. For those who can’t tune in live, performances will be made available each night following the evening’s live stream, while many of the top-billed acts will also be available on demand.
Is there a schedule out? Or do we just watch live and see who we see?
Not yet. They usually release it day of. It's not going to be live in conjunction with the festival. Sets are delayed, and in past years, not always necessarily in order. Since they're doing 6 stages (I think the festival has 7 or 8 total), expect not to see anything until at least an hour or two after it's occurred. Sometimes you'll get a tidbit from a trusted user's musical tastes that might recommend a set you didn't think of. I'm just bugging I didn't set up multiple tv's this weekend so I can run a couple at all times. But I'll just click and back out as necessary.
Also if you haven't watched in the past, the stream schedule will be fluid and often changes throughout the day on each channel. The specific YouTube channel usually will have the schedule in the ...more... section or they'll put it up between shows/interviews.
I have to go to a friend's to cook tonight, but outside of that couple hour block, I'm hoping to see today: Jupiter & Okweiss, The Comet is Coming, Domi & J.D. Beck, Tobe Nwigwe, Pusha T, Gorillaz and Chemical Brothers. I'll catch some other stuff along the way.
i didn't realize that rabb.it turned into kast. we can set up a room there, maybe? we've used it before to watch the stream and chat.
my main hesitation with that is that there's 6 separate streams running, who's gonna handle the switching? And what if we don't all agree which shows to watch?

i think we usually just streamed whatever the most people were interested in and jumped around the channels if something else came up. zoom or something also works if everyone wants to watch their own thing and just talk. just trying to think of something that we can leave open as people come in and out, and isn't subject to a time limit.
