Then thats just buying into making any artist with success after one album and one tour an automatic headliner. Might as well headline Ice Spice while we're at it.

Lorde premiered two new songs at her latest concert. Looks like a new album may come next year. Could easily see her returning to sub for a Dua or a Taylor.

She’s kinda in a weird spot where she blew up so quickly to attain the popularity of a headliner without the experience of one. She did venues like the Greek Theatre on her last tour and while she could’ve easily pulled in attendance for larger venues, she just didn’t have the live experience to pull off a show of that size yet. I think it would be too much of a risk for her at this stage of her career with relatively little experience at massive shows like this.
I put her on my mock as a fun way to give her huge billing without a headliner time slot but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if she once again skips the festival circuit and instead continues to build up her live shows more organically with bigger and bigger venues on her own tour. I personally don’t think she’s ready for a Coachella headlining set and I’m assuming both Goldenvoice and her team agree with that.
