I was shocked to see resale for Coldplay at the Rose Bowl going for $250+ for the worst seats. Not at Taylor level, but a good bit higher than Beyonce.
I feel they’ve been on a worldwide stadium tour for the past 2-3 years yet still sell out everywhere they go.
If it's true, I just wonder what prompted Coachella to reach out to Coldplay, this year of all years? Unless there's a huge album roll out on the way.
Just, Coldplay could have been grabbed all of these years, what's the motive for it being now?
Either way, if we get both Coldplay and Tyler, I'm ecstatic. Between thise two and Rage, any could qualify for RTTD. I just thought they might put the oldest of the acts in that slot. Tyler last played in 2018, so would be kinda weird. But, also, Tyler has already played Coachella 3 times so it would make sense to give him RTTD too. My bet would be on Rage in that situation though

feel like I remember seeing something about Coldplay breaking up in 2025
Yes I know it's the Sun but I'd like for this to be talked about. Also why would Coachella or Glasto have to fight?
Cause they hardly ever share headliners in the same year. Last year they both had Billie and prior to that Radiohead in 2017.
I mean whats the offer. Glasto doesnt pay much so if she wants the bag its Coachella. If she wants global exposure then its Coachella. If she wants to ensure she can always sell out shows in the Uk then its Glasto.

I can see it now. The final notes of a Sky Full of Stars wafting from the main stage, fireworks exploding in the distance. A solemn procession of UN Peacekeepers take the stage to escort Chris Martin to The Hague. His trial is swift. His execution, painful.

Album #10 “moon music” will release early 2024. Also, they might do more dates during 2024 in Southern California (a reel was added to their insta saying they will be back , also included a link to register for updates )
